In need of fast cash but don’t have a job (or your job isn’t paying you enough 👀)? As a broke student in Singapore, this app is an absolute LIFE SAVER! Let me introduce you all to my go to freelance job finder: Staffie! Staffie is an app that has with hundreds of F&B gigs to choose from 🍱. It’s super user friendly and I like how you can filter the dates you want to work, where you want to work, which roles and even for job that allows you to work with your friends! 👯‍♀️

I had no prior experience working in the F&B restaurants but I realized after I added some work experiences, my shifts were always instantly accepted. 🤫

    Why I ❤️ Staffie:

➤ Low commitment & Flexible: Work whenever you have spare time! You don’t have be worried or stressed about not metting a minimum working hour per week or month unlike part time jobs.

➤ High Paying: Honestly most of the hourly pay ranges from $9/hr (lowest I’ve seen so far) to $16/hr and even more. But that also depends on what time you’re working since some restaurants/ bars pay higher when you work past 12am. But most of the jobs pay roughly $12/hr which is not bad!

➤ Weekly Pay: Sometimes waiting a month to receive your pay can be 😐 especially when you go out with your friends often and have a shopping addiction LOL. I really like how I can preplan which day to work and knowing I’ll get paid in less than 7 days! Very useful when I need urgent fast cash!

➤ FREE Food and sometimes even transportation: All of the jobs I worked at actually provide free meals when I worked full shifts. This means you dont have to spend extra money getting your own lunch/ find food during your break! 😋 Of course maybe not all of them provide free meals so do look out in the job description to see if the restaurant provides free meal ok! As for jobs working past 12am, most of them do actually provide free transportation back home which is really nice 🙂

➤ No CPF contributions = Full pay: I know some may argue that CPF contributions are important for the future but at this point in life but i’d rather receive 100% of my pay all to myself. Unlike part time jobs that could be paying you $10/hr, you’re only technically receiving $8/hr ☹️.

➤ Read the reviews before booking: Scared that you’d be working in a toxic work environment? On Staffie, you can actually look at reviews of the restaurants before you book your shifts. After your shift, you yourself can also write in reviews of the restaurant. I love this function haha!

➤ You won’t have to go back to the same place if you had a bad experience: Since you have the freedom to choose which restaurant you’re working at, if you’ve had a bad experience there, you can don’t book shifts with them again!

➤ Not all restaurants require a food hygiene cert! Look out for requirements in the job description before booking!

Anyways, after working a few shifts on Staffie, one of the companies reached out to me to ask if I wanted to convert to their part timer. The pay was promising so I no longer use Staffie as often but this is definitely a really useful app everyone needs! I hope this was helpful to anyone who is considering working gigs from staffie ☺️ Let me know if you want me to make a post on some tips! ˚。⋆୨୧˚
