Age myth debunked – It is never too old to try anything new or be a content creator. Citing myself as a good example!
🤳HOW I STARTED:
I started my Lemon8 account at age 30+ when we got our first HDB flat. See our first intro post here! I wanted to use it as a platform to share our home reno journey, learnings, and tips with other potential/existing homeowners. Thanks to hubby, who also contributed to the content as he was also quite involved in our home reno.
As there were many topics that can be shared regarding home renovation, we were able to regularly share many posts (about 10-20 per month), which helped us to amass up to 617k impressions and grow from 0 to 741 followers in a span of 6 months.
WHY LEMON8🍋:
🏆SUCCESSFUL CONTENT:
Over time, it was interesting to see what kind of content was well received. It was indeed unexpected that our review on our smart washing machine had garnered many impressions, and we are glad to know that our post on Taobao shipping where we shared a google sheet template was useful with many saves!
🌟KEY HIGHLIGHTS AS A CREATOR:
I was so excited when we received an invitation to a fashion/home brand event where we were given shopping credits, and I gladly did Lemon8 posts in exchange (This or That? and event).
Being a Lemon8 creator also meant additional exposure beyond Instagram. A storage brand also reached out to us for a paid partnership with Lemon8 post as part of the collaboration.
🤗FINAL THOUGHTS:
Seeing how the Lemon8 account has grown and the exciting opportunities that came out of it, I definitely have no regrets being a Lemon8 content creator. We look forward to posting more on Lemon8, growing our following, and welcoming future collaborations.
