Oops I have not posted for weeks bc I was swamped in uni 🥲🥲 it was so tiring that I did not have time to do up a post and write ☹️ but I m back again in this post ,,,,,,

Anyways in uni I tried to join a lot of CCAs .. probably overloading myself rn but yolo 😃 just a context, I applied for some Subcomm, participant and main comm roles and got into most of them except one bc of smt out of my control 🤷‍♀️ ofc I rejected some of them to balance my commitments and studies

When going to the interviews, I noticed some similarities between them and having the experience to interview people, let me tell u some tips to ace your CCA interview 🫵

    1. Join CCAs that you are genuinely passionate about 🌼

Its tempting to follow your friends and js join whatever they are joining bc you need the points but I don’t advise this bc if it’s not something of your interest then it’s such a waste of time to apply 😐 Know what you are interested in or what you hope to experience more bc CCAs are the best way to expand your skills and experiences ‼️ Research on the different CCAs offered in your school (esp in uni when there is a wide variety of them) ++ you will be more motivated to commit to a CCA you enjoy in as compared to viewing them as a burden 😀

    2. Talk about what you can contribute to them рџ¤

Sometimes it’s not all about yourself but on what you can do for the CCA 📣 Know what the CCA is looking for (Eg, applying for a Partner Management role, express how you Cld liaise well with people and have good communication skills w relevant experiences to support them) This way, they would know how you can play a role in their CCA and be persuaded on the benefits of having you in 🫡 Align your values with them and be the candidate they are looking for 🌷

    3. Prepare Sufficiently 💃

To be the candidate they are looking for, you have to analyse the role and understand the CCA. The best way to do that is to research about the CCA, visit their insta/ website to see the events they do and impact they intend to make 👩‍💻 Moreover, try to list out the events they do to show that you are well prepared in the interview (most of the time it impresses them) 🥸 Another good way to understand the role better is to ask the director/ heads about it. Be direct and ask the skills they are looking for and their experiences in it! This would create positive first impressions on your interest in the role 🌿

    4. Express your passion 🔥

If you don’t have relevant experiences, you should show your enthusiasm and motivations for the role~ (Eg. Applying for fundraiser role, elaborate on your passion in the cause that they are raising funds for, state you see the impact the fundraiser makes and how you want to be involved in the meaningful cause) 🕺Align your motivations w them!

    5. Don’t be overly serious 😥

Most of the times, they interview you to see the your vibe and see you can be a good fit for the team 🧸 So be yourself and express your genuine interest! Don’t be too nervous and speak naturally~

okay that’s all !!! Hope you will ace your interviews and GET THE ROLE or like GET INTO THE CCA 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
