woah guys it's been so long since i posted cos i've been sick 😭😭 but before that, i was out on quite a few photog gigs (cover pic was actl me at a 5 day event) and that inspired me to do a little post on side hustles!!

entering uni is kind of the transition to adulthood, and based on my personal experience, it's also when we become more conscious about our money, savings and spendings! and just like every other uni student, i have also embarked on a few side hustles on top of my internship to supply myself w some additional money so i can go out w my friends or buy the stuff i wan 🤭

the 3 hustles that i currently have are:

    1️⃣ freelance tutoring

this is prob the most common and easiest side hustle that most of us have HAHHA there are quite a few tele channels (eg. mindflex, tuitionjobs sg) that regularly send out tuition jobs so it is quite easy to find one (no guarantees u will get tho, but u can just keep applying). for undergrads, most tuition jobs pay around $30-50/hr so considering the fact u will have weekly classes, it is quite a substantial amount of money 🙂

    2️⃣ user generated content (UGC)

if u guys haven't heard abt it, then stay tuned for a future post about it! but the tldr is that brands are shifting twds organic content bec consumers trust reviews from others! once you have built a solid portfolio, you can start pitching to brands and hopefully some will get back to u! some platforms for UGC include Fiverr and Upwork, but take note there's a platform fee.

    3️⃣ professional photoshoots

i'm a photographer btw, so this particular gig might not apply to everyone hehe. freelance photographers have the discretion to set their own prices, and its best if u get referred to others by word of mouth (think credibility)! i do list my services on carousell also, but do take note that carousell requires u to pay for a service listing!

of course there are many other side hustles that one can have while ure in uni, and it can strongly depend on ur own passions/ what you are good at! a lot of the work i do (except photoshoots) are remote so that i can make the most out of my time since i'm still studying 🫠 at the end of the day, ure still a student first HAHAHA so my personal advice is to prioritise ur studies and sch commitments first 😭
