One thing i knew i wanted to do before kicking off #weddingprep in full swing was to host my bridal party for a PARTY. Yes, the proposal day was already a party but this is different! I wanted to do one where my fiancé & I would invite them to be part of the bridal party, treat them to some fun, food and bonding! It was to celebrate them & our friendships ☺️

We have 4 bridesmaids, 4 groomsmen and 2 actual day (AD) coordinators. One month before, we invited them for this event with a cute little e-invitation to secure their attendance!

We began planning for the food, gifts and event flow. Although it was just a small get together, we learnt so much about planning & each other’s way of working through this.

In the bridal boxes, we put together or handmade almost everything!

Firstly, the cards – we designed (on canva) and printed the “will you be my …” cards on our own, and proceeded to handwrite the letters to them one by one. For each person, we also handmade a keychain with their names/initials.

In the girls’ boxes, i got them matching phonecases, the best nipple tapes i tried, a pouch which i customized with customized iron-on patches, and some of my fav snacks.

In the guys’ boxes, my fiancé got them matchy black muscle tanks & beach shorts bc he lives in them. For each guy, we also built them each a lego figurine that looks just like them. He also got them some snacks he loves.

We kickstarted off the night with a presentation, announcing first to them our wedding date and venues! Then we introduced them to each other by making a slide describing each of them, telling the stories of how we met them in which part of our lives, we made it real funny and my fiancé couldn’t help but add tons of inappropriate jokes. And after everyone was warmed up, we started dinner!

For dinner, we decided to host a hotpot dinner for everyone (cuz we suck @ cooking 😂) and prepared yummy icecream for dessert. My friends decided to surprise my fiancé and i with a video they made of our proposal and that was reaaaally sweet.

The night ended with some chill drinks and dessert and everyone really enjoyed just getting to know one another and chatting. It was a success! 10/10 would do again!! 💯
