5 mistakes to AVOID for your wedding day

My wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life, but there are a few things I would do differently if I could go back in time.

    1. Not having a shot list

I didn't create a shot list for my photographer and videographer, and as a result, I missed out on some important photos and videos. For example, I didn't get any photos of myself with my husband against the MBS skyline or solo shots of my mom, who was dressed up for the first time in her life.

    2. Never trying on my gown with my veil

I tried on my wedding gown several times, but never with a veil. As a result, I didn't realise that the veil would press my hair down. TIP: If you have a hand bouquet, use it to use against the veil from the inside to avoid this problem.

    3. Not highlighting our VIPs to our photographer & videographer

I didn't tell my photographer and videographer who the VIPs were at my wedding. As a result, they missed some important photos and videos of my close family members reacting to our speeches.

    4. Not briefing our photographer & videographer on our surprises

I didn't tell my photographer and videographer about some things we were going to do at our wedding, such as a silly prank I pulled on my husband or our bent over kiss. As a result, they weren't prepared to capture these moments.

    5. Having no time to rehearse my speech

I didn't have time to rehearse my wedding speech, and as a result, I was very nervous when it was time to give it. I also made a few mistakes, such as forgetting my lines and stumbling over my words.

If you're planning your wedding, I hope these tips help you to avoid making the same mistakes I did!
