WHAT I LIKE 🫶🏻:

– their new studio is SO CHIO? ok personally kinda scary at the entrance because its quite dark & looks iffy at first glance but when you walk further in, the set up just screams ✨ COMFORT & AESTHETIC ✨

– SICK spotify playlist 🎶 i need their playlist eh i was jamming to the music in my head the whole time

– comfortable beds. they are so comfortable i fell asleep at one time 🤭

– super friendly lash techs?? my lash tech, Flo was so gentle, she would occassionally check in to ask whether it was okay 🥹 & i rlly appreciated it

+ shes so good at what she does cause LOOK AT MY LASHES ‼️‼️‼️ & i know i look abit goofy but just focus on my lashes 🫦🫦

– lastly, if you know me i really really like to rub my eyes (hence my username hehe) and i cry alot 😄 but my lashes are STILL going strong so it shows!

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:

– location abit far from me 😭

– slots are booked super fast, so fastest fingers!!!

– they are super super super strict on punctuality ⏰ but understandable because they have to ensure things are running smoothly 👍🏻 so if you are a late queen, time to train yourself by booking a appointment with them 👁️🫦👁️

I can’t believe I met my first crush at a wedding!

We used to be so close because of our CCA in poly! We were in archery and our CCA requires us to train 3x a week! Haha I remember enjoying going to archery a lot because I can’t wait to see him and just be close to him LOLLL this is so funny now I’m recounting the story!

And it is crazy that all these happened 12 years back in 2011/12?!?!

What I like about him was actually basically his humour la. He is damn funny and he always laugh at my jokes (I don’t even find myself funny) but the main point is I feel extremely comfortable around him!

I decided to confess to him even though I know we won’t have happy ending cause our values don’t align. I was definitely infatuated and head over heels for him. Whenever I’m close to him, my heart starts to beat so hard! So I plucked up whatever courage I had and confessed BUT he didn’t give me a reply 😭💔

I felt rejection hard for the first time! I don’t know how guys can always confess to girls and sometimes it isn’t successful not painful meh?

Anyway back to the story – After the failed confession, sadly our close friendship became an awkward one. Sad. He tried to make our friendship work by being the same but because I was the one being rejected, I didn’t know how to face him anymore!

Thankfully, after we graduated we still kept in contact and went out for meals here and there but life got busy and we drifted apart for a few years!

Actually I really enjoyed my poly life a lot, my course, my CCA and my the community!Ngee Ann Polytechnic FTW!!

I was so happy to see him at the wedding I was shooting earlier this month 🙂 I was shooting his sister’s wedding and he was the one who introduced me to his sister so I’m thankful that he still remembers me ✨

As I was talking to him at his sister’s wedding I could see why we didn’t work out hahaha nonetheless, I’m happy that both of us are doing well in our lives.

The silly things we do in our youths will be memories that are etched to my heart forever ❤️ #noregrets

Ever since my first time using wax to remove my pubic hair, I’ve said my final goodbye to shavers. You get a much smoother coochie and stay hairless for longer but the pain made me tear.. Beauty is pain right?…

But then I tried a different form of waxing…

Sugaring at a home-based salon so I wanted to share it with you guys just incase you’re deciding between the 2!

Here’s my personal experience:

🥲 Pain level

If you’ve tried waxing, you would know it can hurt like a b-word!!! I tear during the sessions sometimes but my pain tolerance is also kinda low. They break the hair instead of removing the root. With sugaring, they literally use melted sugar on your coochie and it removes your hair from the root! Somehow I feel way less tense and pain when I go sugaring 🙂

I also feel like my coochie is much smoother with lesser ingrown hair??? Like a brand new baby hehe

⏰ Speed

They both take around the time! Around 20-30 mins since it’s kind of the same motion. I do feel with sugaring it can be just slightly faster or maybe cos my sugar lady always talks to me about her life while she does the job so time passes faster..

💇🏻‍♀️ How long does it take to grow back?

In my own experience, sugaring keeps the hair off way longer!! It stays off for about 3-4 weeks while waxing stays off for 2-3 weeks?

This is also cos sugaring rips the hair from the root! I also see less of the red bumps I usually get post-waxing and less ingrown hair… So for me, it’s defo Sugaring!

If you’re thinking of going and you’re a little scared, it gets better the more you do it but here a pro-tip: avoid doing it 1 week before your period cos that’s when your skin to most sensitive to pain… I’ve tried it and it was not fun!!!

We booked via Klook for about $80/pax (usual price on their website is $95). It’s a 1.5-2 hours session and comes with 50ml of perfume that you can bring home. They have the 100ml option too, Klook is selling at about $106 (usual price on website is $125).

🌸 PERSONALITY TEST

We first started off with a personality test consisting of 10 questions. Each questions have 5 options: A-E. Tbh, I felt that for a few questions none of the options fits me 😂

After answering 10 questions, we then have to count how many of each alphabet did we chose as our answers. Mine was pretty evenly split: 2 A, 2 B, 1 C, 2 D and 3 E. A is for Citrus scent; B for Fresh; C for Floral; D for Woody and E for Oriental. So I guess i’m a slightly more oriental person (?) hahaha.

🌸 CHOOSING OUR SCENTS

We then chose our scents according to our personality test. So for me I chose 2 Citrus scents, 2 fresh scents so on and so forth, to a total of 10 scents. You can choose more or less than 10 scents, totally up to personal preference. I think the max is 20 scents. They have lots of selection for both male and female. I chose an equal mix of male and female scents because some male scents smell so good too!! They have a total of 120 scents so definitely took awhile to choose and decide. I love that their scents have such pun-y names hahah (see pic 5 😆)

🌸 EXPERIMENTING THE SCENTS

After finally deciding the scents, we proceeded to mix our scents together. So we first started off with one pump per scent to see whether the mix works. I was pretty quick as I felt the scent was great for me and I liked it. I have friends that took awhile to finalise their mix as they might have felt it being too sweet or too light. Good thing is the staff actually will also help to give recommendations if you face problems with finding the suitable scent or mix. For instance, if you felt it being too light, they may add another pump of one scent to make it stronger. Once finalised, the staff will assist to prepare the final product according to the scents you chose!

✨MY EXPERIENCE

Great experience creating my own scent. Although it was an individual activity, felt like we actually get to know each other better too as we were smelling everyone’s perfume and discussing about the scents and mixtures. Would recommend it as a hen’s night activity 🌟

Personally, I have very sensitive skin as I have had eczema all my life! Which is why I am very cautious when it comes to testing our new facial products or any skincare products…

I tried Rooki Beauty’s Green Pulp Paste Masque and here’s my honest review on it! Disclaimer that I am not a skincare expert on sensitive skin but this is what worked for me! Please sample test this product on your wrist before applying a large quantity on your face ☺️ This is my practice whenever I get new products!

How to use:

For night time use 🫶🏻

— rinse your face with your usual cleanser

— apply the green pulp paste masque

— leave on for 10-15min

— rinse and pat dry

— continue your usual night skincare routine

(toner, eye cream, moisturiser, etc.)

* use 2-3 times weekly

🤍 The good stuff:

— little fragrance! i always look for products with little to no fragrance as this will be less irritating on my skin! so definitely a plus point here

— does not leave that squeaky dried out texture on your face after you rinse it off!

— not a gooey consistency! I think this mask is good that it doesn’t dry out like clay mask! so it feels more moisturising on the skin and leaves you feeling more refreshed and hydrated

🖤 The not so good stuff:

— for the price point, i would say it’s worth it but it may not be as affordable for the quantity!

— it may take slightly longer to see results (aka more vibrant, younger looking skin)

Overall, I would say this product is worth it and personally I would recommend to get this as part of your skincare routine!

⸝ ˴ So you love cats and am looking to go to a cat cafe, but aren’t sure which to go in Singapore? Don’t worry, I got you! I’ve been to a few cat cafes here so far (The Cat Cafe, Meowmi) and I can say, my best experience would be NekoTown!

༉ Why? Firstly, they have unique cats that aren’t your typical HDB breeds. Nothing wrong with those, it’s just that if I were to spend my money going to a cat cafe, wouldn’t I want to see a breed that I’m unable to chance upon downstairs easily?

Secondly, the area is pretty spacious compared to the ones I’ve been to before. I could easily walk around the place without feeling awkward around the other visitors. Perhaps it may also be because I went on a weekday when there were less people?

Thirdly, they’re the cheapest for the amount of cats you get to interact with, free flow drinks provided.

Moreover, the toilet was also clean and spacious.

(Side note: there was a random huge parrot guarding the toilet from the outside which I thought was pretty funny).

ะ However, if you’re someone who is looking to visit a cat cafe for the dining experience, it’s not for you as they don’t provide pastries, desserts etc.

I personally don’t mind this as I visit cat cafes for the furry friends `(ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈) `

๑ For my non Easties, it might be inconveniently far and out of the place for you as the cat cafe is located in the East. However, I definitely think it’s worth going to!

I travelled there by taking the train to Paya Lebar MRT station, then walked for about 10 minutes.
