hello!! i have been journaling since 2017 and of course, my style has changed a lot since then. back in my ‘o’ level days i was really inspired by different studygrams and bullet journal accounts on IG and wanted to be like one of them HAHAH.
now that I have my own journal IG @euyos with over a 100k followers, I would love to share with you some tips that may help you to improve your journals/planners!
1) pick a theme! this could be anything ranging from colours to topics. for instance, if I decide to go with a certain coloured-theme spread, I would mainly pick out the supplies to match my theme. from the spread in this post, I have picked out the grey/monochromatic theme with a ‘topic’ of my weekend.
2) make use of different materials! it doesn’t matter if you have a limited variety of options. I started journaling with minimal supplies and I thought of different ways to fill in my planners such as by drawing something out or printing pictures 🙂
3) enjoy the process. journaling can be a really therapeutic hobby and it kind of helps you to plan or even sum up your day. just write down your thoughts, plan your week, or write your daily to-do’s! by the end of the month/year, you’ll look back at your journal/planner and see how much you’ve accomplished.
maybe I’ll do a part 2 of this post!! let me know if you’ve tried out these tips 🤍 i’d love to see your lovely spreads too~
