How would I live my life after I resign? One of my biggest worry is that I just waste my time without doing anything. I mean it's okay to do nothing but rest, but for how long? After all, when I tendered, I did not treat it as “an early retirement”, but “to explore if I can survive without a corporate job”.
I want to be disciplined, yet explore the possibilities in life!
So here is how I have spent my Friday:
7am: Wake up and do my morning workout. Feels good to sweat 😅
8am: Have breakfast with my family. My recent favourite is green tea almond spread with a sourdough toast
9am+: Off to my first destination today – a meeting with a business agency about a potential business investment. Today is the one-site visit – due diligence is important before I invest.
12pm: About lunch time! I had a catch up with ex-colleagues who also moved on to new roles at Root@One-North. The place is quiet and lovely, no queue despite the lunch crowd (but the pasta is good).
2pm: My first offline meetup with a Lemon8 friend! @Tiffani is an entrepreneur I know from Lemon8, and also a mom of 3. I was impressed by her story (you can read it here) and we decided to meet! Although i am an introvert, Tiffani and I had a great conversation thanks to her openness and positivity!
4pm: Reach home and have a bit of snack – a box of exquisite chocolates from Paris with ❤️. This matches my current state – life is like a box of chocolates…
The brand is called La Maison Du Chocolat. You can get it in the shopping mall next to Louvre. I would say it indeed tastes first class, but it is also pricy. A good gift though.
7.30pm: Catch a classic music concert by Singapore Symphony Orchestra and young artists Chloe Chua ans He Ziyu. Excellent playing. Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Singapore
Alright…life after quitting is not just about rotting in bed huh?
