it’s nearing the end of the year and it’s time for your annual closet clean out! if you’re finding different places to donate your clothes to, hear me out: why not sell it off for low cost and earn some spare cash to treat yourself instead?
The Luggage Market holds a flea market every sunday of the month at aperia mall, and honestly the crowd is one of the best i’ve seen in recent days
each booth costs $68 and comes with 2 stools and a mat of size 1.6m and 1m. the concept is simple – you come with a luggage full of clothes, open up the luggage and you’re ready to go!
i shared the booth with 3 of my other friends recently and i managed to profit around $150++ within a day. here’s some tips on how i did it:
1. price everything at a standard cost
this makes it easier for your buyers to pick out everything. prepare bundle prices as well since they are definitely going to haggle for their money’s worth!
2. dress up while staying comfortable!
dressing well will help your buyers to have a sense of what kind of clothes they’ll be able to get at your booth, which helps in attracting more people!
3. bring small change
everything’s going to be priced around $3-5 so it’ll definitely be good to carry small change on you. we did prepare paynow QR codes but most people opted for cash as it was easier for them
4. gather ALL your clothes from family and friends!
there are a range of sizes present at the flea market so it’d be great to bring a variety of clothes, even guys clothes! most of them found my pieces a little too small for their liking but i did see a good amount of my mom’s clothes being taken
5. bring a bigger bag to store your personal belongings
it can get pretty crowded so it’ll be best to have a big bag to store everyone’s personal belongings, and leave it away from the crowd!
slots open up near the end of the month for the next month’s sundays and it sells out in less than 5 minutes, so do remember to camp and book your slot fast!
