after my post on saving 100k by 30, people have asked me what I invest in. I invest in a range of things such as ETFs and REITs.

one of my goals in life is to save up enough for a condo downpayment to buy, hold, rent, and then sell. a condo downpayment usually costs $250k and above, but before that happens, I can only invest in REITs to invest in property.

    what are REITs?

they are Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) where companies finance or own income-producing real estate across a range of sectors, such as malls, commercial properties, hotels, etc.

    why REITs

    – hedge against inflation

    – receive regular dividend income

    – invest in property with lower capital

hence, even if you have $100, $1k, or anything less than a condo downpayment, you can consider investing in REITs to dabble in property investment without the huge commitment. furthermore, the money in REITs has more liquidity than actual property because you'll have to wait for a buyer before you can sell property.

you'll need to pay a fee for your money to be managed professionally, and I make use of Syfe to invest in REITs. if you're interested, you can use my referral , and if you invest $2k and above, you get your fees waived for 3 months. 🫶
