Everyone always asks me how I party and go out so often so it’s time I let you in on some of my tricks!
1. Find cheap bars, liquid buffets or throw a house party if you can 🎉
Bars: Stickies, Horizon, Kanpai, SMOOBar
Liquid buffet: Idle, Ce La Vi, Chorong Pocha, Redtail by Zouk
The most inexpensive option would be to host your pre-drinking session at home. Order in alcohol (in advance to save $) from Alcohaul or Cellarbration to save the most.
2. Go to clubs that offer free entry 🤑
There are plenty of clubs that offer free entry on certain days; Luxe, Prism, Yang to name a few and if you’re a girl, you could likely go anywhere on a Wednesday night.
3. Head out in a group and agree to split 👊🏻
This goes from splitting cabs, booze and maybe even entrance fee (if the girls are going for free and are real bros haha) But it really does help a ton!
4. Always get a bottle or a tower 🍾
Unless you’re in a super small group or you’re all lightweights, getting a bottle/tower is always the most worth and will get everyone having a good time, FAST! This avoids you paying for multiple drinks which can be costly.
5. Try out ALL the cab apps or go for a metered taxi 🚖
There are plenty of apps out there that can help you out! (Grab, GoJek, TADA, RYDE, CDG Zig) It might take you a while if there’s a high demand but you’ve got more luck trying out all the apps than just Grab. My personal trick is to ALWAYS go for a metered taxi, even if we’re putting 3-4 destinations, it’ll turn out to be way cheaper. Try it, thank me later.
6. Download Tricount to keep track 📝
I’m definitely gonna do a separate post on this because I LOVE this app. It has literally saved my life and all of my friends! It’s basically a shared list of all your transactions and automatically balances your joint expenditure for you! Greatest invention ever and you’ll be spending more accurately that way.
