We're back to spill the beans on why we opted for a cozy 3-room BTO flat for our dream home 🏡✨ Of course, there are both sunny pros and the occasional cloudy cons! ☀️⛅
👍✨ **Pros:**
1. 🤑**Cost-Effective :** Choosing a 3-room BTO offered us a budget-friendly advantage 🤑💰. With lower upfront costs and a tighter reno budget, we could save the $$ for other family expenses.
2. 🛌 **Lower Demand:** Embracing the less-traveled path paid off! Opting for a 3-room flat meant less competition to an already highly sought after estate. We tried getting 4 room BTO’s twice before, 1 was totally unsuccessful and for the other, we got a really bad queue number. With the long waiting time, it made sense to strategise and pick the 3-room which was less likely to be overly subscribed.
3. 🧼 **Easy Breezy Cleaning:** Let's be real, a smaller space equates to quicker clean-ups. Time saved on tidying up is time gained for family fun and self-care! 🧹🕒
👎🤷♀️ **Cons:**
1. 🤰👨👩👧👦 **Future Family Growth:** While our 3-room nest is perfect for us now, we're keeping an eye on the future. Expanding our family might require a bit of Tetris, as space is definitely a premium. 🧸👶 Or we may end up upgrading in future.
2. 👋 **Hard to Host:** Hosting family and friends overnight can be a tad tricky. Our cozy haven is a bit snug, making sleepovers a logistical puzzle. But we've learned to master the art of hospitality within our space! 🛌🏼🏢
3. 🚫 **Helper Woes:** If you're considering hiring a helper, it's worth noting that space might be snug for an additional member with a lot less privacy. We're all about making it work, but it's a factor to ponder. 🧹🙅♀️
