Hi there, all girlies ♥ it’s a long time since i wrote my last post AND IM BACK hehe. today i wanna talk about my love story. i didn't expect to fall in love with anyone on this year BECAUSE im currently staying in Sg but it’s just temporary. im still waiting to study here (siann it didn’t go well 🥹) and now i still can stay in Sg because my mom sponsors me – she’s pr. so the point is that i think it’s quite difficult to get into a relationship with a local guy. besides, my english is not good so i almost speak chinese instead 😭 and sometimes i will go back my country 🤓

BUT I WAS SO BORING WHEN I JUST CAME SG i don’t have a lot local friends here so i started to download tinder on last year. i only wanted to make friend. although i met a lot 🚩guys but after that i got 2 friends. one is same age & one is younger but quite good. we’re still friend now and i appreciate about it. btw i hope i can know more female friends – one of the reasons i come to lemon8 🍋🎀

Back about my love, it was around end of dec 2022. that time i didn’t open tinder frequently. i was busy and a bit boring on there also. one day, i see a profile, his pics kinda cute to me cuz i like “dan yan pi” lol 🤡 the guy im talking is my bf now LOL and i rmb i swipe right then we matched on dec 26. but both of us are late reply. going to the flow, we followed each other on insta and texted there. omg then i just knew he is ns guy 🫢 quite busy also. but it’s not the matter. HE REALLY MADE ME IMPRESSIVE cuz he talked a lot like willing sharing anything with me hmm like quite honest. as mentioned previously, english is not my mother language so he was always proactive in talking and created more stories for us. it could be seen as a plus on communication 👀 after that we were plaining to have a dinner date on weekend and texted on tele instead also.

We had date on Jan 7. he was really good, planned all 🫢 it like first move. i think the most important thing is that two people have the same thoughts and match together. love is the harmony of two hearts and two souls. that’s why we still continue and have more dates after first date. im so glad that finally i met him 🫶🏻 right swipe right person !! we progressed well. then we started to date on valentines day omgg actually for me, it’s a quite fast. i was a bit worry how long it will last. AND NOW WE’RE STILL TOGETHER !! 💁🏻‍♀️ almost 1 year. and he will visit me second time on this dec cuz im at my country now 😽 to me, my bf is quite romantic like he knows how to “words of affirmation” 🤧 opposite me, sometimes i don’t know how to communicating from words, i show love through actions 🧸 i only say basic words like ily cuz my english is limited hahahaa. when we texting, everytime he types faster than me 😾 he is always beside me when im sad. also a supporter who gives me advice and ease me all the time. sometimes i think he is talkative than meee 😮‍💨 so annoying but make me laugh a lot 😌 he takes care me of all details. the language barrier didn’t make it difficult for us to communicate. in contrast, it’s kinda cute and interesting. sometimes have a lot funny moments also. luckily, my bf’s chinese is quite good LOL btw he gain weigh a lot after dating also 🤣 happy man !! we ate a lot tgt. our money waste almost on food and drink 🫢🐽

First of all, i didn’t look forward to have a serious relationship through dating app. i was doubtful that so i saw it as a entertained platform. now i change my mind. actually it’s maybe 50/50 not of all. you should be patient. you will meet your right person no matter where, real life or on internet, just give it some time. all thing has a fate of its. BUT in my point of view, when u start on dating apps, still must stay safe:

• some just want you for body, hookup… 🥴

• a lot fk rude guys on there but still have a lot cute guys

• meet the actual person before develop any feelings

• text at least 1 friend before going out with guys

It seems a bit difficult for people to find love on internet nowadays but it’s not meant won’t happen. don’t rush in dating !! you are worth waiting for good person ✅. It has to start with a powerful search of who you are, and your willingness to love yourself enough, whether you are male or female, even reality. last one, just want to say that good things happen when you least expect it. see see and chill first hehe. okay i think it’s quite long omgg 🥹 thank kiew for reading to the end 💛💛💛

I moved to Hong Kong!

Hi love! I found a spa in Johor Bahru that lets you have your own onsen tub, and it's totally VIRAL on Xiaohongshu! Side note: It’s the perfect date idea for couples! 🖤 #MySelfCare

I tried the promotion package for 2 pax herbal bath and deep tissue massage — it's a 2-hour session with a 30-minute herbal bath 🙌🏼

It is said that 5 minutes in the 40-degree tub would fully open your pores; ten minutes would achieve a full detox, and 20 minutes is equivalent to “running 10km”! You can refer to the photo for some of the benefits, but mainly it helps with detoxification through perspiration, blood circulation rejuvenation, and the elimination of fatigue 💤

As for the massage, you can choose between a machine or manual one. I opted for the machine massage for a change, but honestly, I'll recommend you to do the manual massage instead because the machine one is quite painful for me LOL

The service is good and the spa room is very clean. I can totally see why this is so viral on XHS 👍🏼 I’ll definitely recommend you to try it at least once for a weekend of rest and relaxation! In fact, you can even surprise your date or partner with this date idea in JB!

👗 From the designer/premium rack, I singled out this brand new with tag Kanoe HandStamped Rainbow Batik Dress mainly because of the pastel coloured batik! Gave it a try in the shop and it fitted with allowance. However, I’m not a fan of the ruffles so I’ll get my seamstress to remove it and it’ll be simple v neckline!

⚓️ I don’t own a single boat neck top in my wardrobe, so when I chanced upon this Uniqlo piece (and it’s priced cheaper than retail), I grabbed it! It doubles up as a great on the shoulder outerwear too.

🌺 Saw this Rivette and Blair top once at Nightingale Thrift but I didn’t know if I would wear something this sheer so I left it. But alas, on my next thrift trip, it was still there so I took it as a sign it’s meant to be and brought it home! It’s so hot in Singapore now so I think it’ll be perfect to wear out. 😮‍💨

🎄Copped this White House Black Market knit cardigan because it was so soft and I cannot resist a good wine cardigan! Will probably only wear it closer to Christmas or on rainy days because it’s quite a thick knit.

💚 Scored this off shoulder top in the $2 box! It’s quite fitted but the 3/4 sleeve helps to hide my arm fats so I think it’s worth it. 🤭

🤩 Let out a gasp when I found this patchwork brown A-line skirt hanging on the racks! Love how retro it looks and I can already see myself styling it in a few different ways. I’m in my mini skirt phase so I’m thinking of shortening this (it hits me on my knees now), but what do you think? Keep or shorten? 🤔

🥡 I usually stay clear of Chinese labelled items because I know they’re most likely from Taobao but I cannot resist flare pants! I did a quick picture search on Taobao and since it’s more expensive online (plus i have to wait for it to ship out), I decided to get it from Nightingale!

🌝 Totally random purchase is this Monki Pleated Holiday Dress. It’s very unlike my style but I tried it on and it’s so comfortable! I’ve been on the hunt for kaftan dresses to lounge in at home, so this is my first!

🎀 Got this matching Guess necklace and earring set from a batch of accessories that was freshly donated! Slightly more pricey than I would usually pay but it’s so cute! Picked up two brooches for my scarf collection and a mini Estée Lauder bag!

for the base:

★ depending on the occasion i jump between the NARS foundation and the CLIO kill cover, NARS will always be my favourite in terms of finish and longevity but for day to day school/work or when i’m rushing, CLIO gives almost the same coverage but cheaper and more importantly FASTER.

★ the NARS foundation retails for about $80💸💸!

?? which is ridics… but the CLIO comes with an extra refill and i bought the whole set for maybe $35 so CLIO is def the way to go!!

for blush:

★ i use the rare beauty liquid pinch blush in shade encourage, as everybody says, one dot is all you need. and it lasts the whole day 🎀

★ the canmake glow fleur cheek blushes! my mum got them from me when she was in japan and i love the finish bc it’s shimmery as well <3 sometimes i use the liquid blush then put this on top!!

setting:

★ after my base is done i set it with the mack andy shimmery loose powder, honestly the only reason i bought it is because i love loose powders that have shimmer in it so my whole face can be matte while being shimmery. 🪩✨

eyes:

for eyes if it’s a casual look i don’t do any eyeshadow or eyeliner, i just do my eyebrows and curl my lashes + mascara

★ this heroine make mascara will bring your lashes from 0 to 100 in 1minute i kid you not this is the best mascara i have used that doesn’t smudge or run throughout the day!!! love love love will def repurchase however i do recommend getting their remover as well bc it can be hard to remove!!

lips💋:

depending on the day or vibe i’m going for, i jump between the

★ peripera glowy tint in shade 14

★ the rare beauty lip oils in shade affection & delight!!

for touchups:

★ i normally carry the canmake marshmallow compact bc it really helps to blur the pores and is just easy to carry around

★ + whichever lipstick i wore that day!

Personally, I'm not a fan of the “sad beige aesthetic,” but there's nothing inherently wrong with having a home decor that's entirely beige-focused.

It's practical, looks good, and matches with pretty much anything.

When I was renting, I opted for that style because it was easier, and I could find all my furniture at IKEA 😂

But if you're ready to move on from the porridge-colored era and want something different for your home reno… here are my 2 current fav styles that go beyond the typical Scandi/Japandi look! рџЏ

▪️ Incorporates a mix of natural and retro shades like avocado, mustard, burnt orange, turquoise & metallic tones

▪️ Look for furniture with chunky profiles, low coffee tables with short legs, tubular & spherical shapes, fluted finishes.
