Got slapped with a 6 months no payment penalty fee!! 🫠💸
So we completely forgotten about the paying for the monthly Service & Conservancy Charges and I left my mailbox untouched for approx 6 months as I wasn’t staying in my new BTO flat! 😞
I am hoping this post is helpful for new home owners, and also perhaps to act as a reminder?
🔴 What are Service & Conservancy Charges (S&CC) ?
Your HDB Town Council gathers these charges to finance the administration, upkeep, and enhancement of communal assets within the residential areas that fall under the governance of the Town Council.
🔴 How much are these charges?
Reduced S&CC Rates are applicable to Singaporean Citizens who do not own any private property. It ranges between approx $20-$110 per month, depending on your citizenship, location and the size of your apartment.
There are also government rebates available !
🔴 How to pay?
Many methods! For example:
– In person at your town council/HDB branch office
– AXS and SAM machines
– Post office
– Internet banking
– Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard)
‼️ Please be aware that your conservancy fees must be settled by the initial day of every month, otherwise, a penalty charge will apply and accrue from the subsequent month until it is fully paid.
