We recently upgraded our old 10yo IKEA bed to an aesthetic new storage bed + mattress from Woosa. We had shopped around prior, and Woosa was the clear winner in terms of aesthetic, comfort and price (~3.8k for frame and mattress)! Their mattress was rly comfortable and the headboard fabrics & choices were so pretty, plus their hydraulic lift mechanism was comfortable and elegant.

However when the bed arrived after a 2-month wait I was taken aback by how BULKY it was 😱 the frame & mattress height was almost 1/3 of the vertical space, and it was super bulky esp compared to our old bed. Although we had thought that the bed looked great and not too big in the showroom, we forgot to take into account that our bedroom would be much smaller 😓

NGL, I was rather disappointed as I thought the bulk ruined our bedroom’s aesthetic, and what’s worse is we didn’t really even urgently need the storage as a child-free couple 😞

It’s been a few weeks, and though I’ve gotten more used to the bed and how it looks, on hindsight I would have customized the storage height to be lower so that it would look nicer visually & also be much easier for us and our cat to get in and out of bed (e.g. I can no longer sit on the bed to put on moisturiser comfortably). A storage bed is still a good choice for our small Singaporean households but if you’re thinking of getting one, don’t forget to consider these points as well! ❤️
