‼️ If you are thinking of applying for LOA, hear me out. Here’s how you can intern for 6 months AND clear your modules AT THE SAME TIME without having to postpone your graduation.
🫠 If you are someone just like me, who doesn't want to delay my graduation but still wants to have an edge after graduating, this is THE program for you. Currently, I am doing a 6 months internship while taking 2 modules in the upcoming semester. You may be wondering, if I overloaded my previous semester or have to overload next semester, nope, you are wrong.
💁🏻♀️ At the moment, I’m under Work-Study Degree Programme (WSDeg), which allows students to undertake modules while doing a full-time internship at the same time. However, this program is restricted to selected degree undergraduates. For NTU, only 9 selected degree courses are eligible for the program under the School of Business, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Engineering. The eligibility may be different for different universities, so it’s best to do your own research!
🤓 While the semester hasn’t started, I can already foresee my workload to be manageable as it would be **4 days work-week while taking 2 modules on a day. You can also choose to have 3 full + 2 half day work-week if the schedule of your module doesn’t fit in a day.** However, do take note that it is still up to the company's discretion to allow you to undertake modules while working. Hence, remember to bring it up during your interviews to make sure that you will not be compromising your graduation.
🥹 I really recommend this program because it allows you to gain more work experience rather than clearing unnecessary electives that are not related to our course (BDE for NTU students). Also, you will get a pass or fail grade rather than a GPA grade which is even better!
