it’s 4 weeks since our wedding, and ever since then i’ve been feeling so many different emotions, but mainly happiness and relief😮‍💨

i went to google a lil before writing this post, and there’s actually something called post-wedding blues (worst case, depression).

i would say #weddingplanning was easy mostly because i love planning! i #DIYed a lot of stuff for my wedding, so i spent a lot of time designing and making the items. the toughest part for me was dealing w shawn’s parents (in laws😩), and so many times during the process i kept asking myself if i was ready for #marriedlife (cos marriage is not only about 2 person, but it involves 2 families right?). i decided that it wasn’t worth ending a relationship because of his parents + i will not let anyone affect our rs as it would be unfair for shawn as well.

don’t get me wrong, i think my in laws are not bad people, just that we have different perspectives (which is normal). i believe that compromise from all parties involved is needed in any & every relationship, but it can’t only be me trying to understand/give in (more about this maybe in another post).

my parents on the other hand, were very understanding because they trust my planning😂 they were really worried though, seeing how often shawn and i quarrelled during the planning process. my mum even told me i should’ve just registered and gone for my honeymoon. and to have her say this, really means a lot because she liked big weddings. my sis got married during covid so it was a small wedding w 100 pax (& w this statement, you’ll realise how tough it was for me🥹).

😊😮‍💨happiness & relief

halfway through i felt so done w wedding planning, i actually became sad. was everything worth it? why am i spending so much to make myself unhappy? i stopped doing my online business for close to 9 months to prep for the wedding. my edutech business partners were all v understanding towards me, so i had the flexibility to complete my part on my own time. i gave up my time to plan, but in return i was so unhappy because things weren’t going my way. so yes, after the wedding, i’m so much happier! i’ve signed up for classes, planning my time and goals for the rest of 2023, and also building up my businesses again!

🥲🥹 regret & underwhelmed

i’m lucky so many friends reminded me to be happy, and let things go, right before the wedding. i wish i could’ve felt happier during the planning process🥲 after the wedding, so many people asked us “how’s married life?!” honestly? underwhelming🤣 we’ve been staying tgt for 2 years, so we’ve been seeing each other everyday for so long + we didn’t go for our honeymoon right after the wedding (schedule + we didn’t have time to plan).

overall i’m still happy, but i wish those who are getting married can remember during the wedding planning process, that the wedding is for you! do what makes you happy. don’t regret spending so much and end up being unhappy. don’t let anger and sadness be the only feelings you have when you reminisce your wedding day.

I bought this crop top from Matin Kim when I was in Seoul! It’s a fashion brand that’s really popular in Korea right now, you should drop by their store if you’re there. Expect to see trendy y2k pieces from their collection. If you’re not into trending pieces, they have everyday wear as well. Just like this crop top that I bought😚

Skorts: SHEIN

My skorts are from SHEIN and it’s wallet friendly🤑 This skorts is low waisted for me and slightly loose at the waist area for a XS, so take note! I like pairing this skorts with a basic tee for everyday look.

Sandals: Shopee

These Strappy platform sandals are too cute to resist, y’know how the c&k platforms that went viral. This is another alternative to that🙊 I wouldn’t say this is the comfiest platform sandals, but you can get away with it if you’re not walking a lot. For comfort I would give it a 6.5/10, but for its height and design it’s a 10/10!🥰

Idk why but I decided that a hairband will elevate my look, so I threw on a hairband that I bought from Busan. It’s in a pretty shade of lilac which has a sheen since it’s satin. Tbh, looking back I think a black or white hairband will fit the look better but I don’t have one in that color🤣

For my jewelry, I wore a matching clover necklace and bracelet in gold plating from a local brand called Tiara Diaries✨ It def completed the look and made my entire fit look expensive🤪

There actually isn’t any regular day in the life of cabin crew. It is either you’re on board flying, enjoying your off day or overseas during a layover. Let’s do a layover instead! And today we’re heading to London on SQ321!

Day 0️⃣

Let me summarise this part because it’s boring and I wrote about it before. So just read here for the flight! We basically report for briefing at Terminal 3, 2 hours before the departure time. After 13 hours of flying, we finally reach London! If we reach at around 6PM then we only check in the hotel at 7PM. I always follow the local time so I head to sleep after checking in.

Day 1️⃣

I just want to mention most of the time, the crew will either go out to explore the city on their own, stay in the hotel and some times we will plan an outing together. I was super lucky because my IFM planned an outing! This flight was my last London flight so I decided to join them to visit the Hitchin Lavender Field! No regrets because the place is beyond gorgeous and the Lavender fragrance was insanely therapeutic. On top of that, the Sunflowers are in full bloom! If you don’t know they only bloom once a year and they stay in full bloom for 2-3 weeks. So you really have to catch them at the right time!

Right after the visit to the Lavender Fields, I rushed to the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour! I have to book this tour 2 months in advance because it is always sold out and nobody would go with me. It is pretty normal for crew to do things alone because you can’t really expect the crew onboard to have the same interest. Honestly, some times it is better to go alone because they might waste time shopping or looking at nonsense things.

Day 2️⃣

I wanted to spend the day alone because I had some errands to run. I went to The Muffin Man which is a crew branch (restaurant that cabin crew frequent is called a crew branch). After which, I went to buy some things (Fenty Beauty, Supreme and Contact Lenses). I forgot to bring contact lens! Damn troublesome to buy anything health related in London because they have NHS and all. As a foreigner with no records there, most stores refused to sell me contact lenses!

At 2PM, I went to watch the Book of Mormon as recommended by my crew friend, Ashley! It was very funny and entertaining! Great way to end the layover! I rushed off to buy subway for dinner before I start preparing for the flight in 1 hour. I was flying off at 8PM!

Day 3️⃣

Just like on the way up, after 13 hours in the air, we are HOME! Of course, it is super tiring. I usually will sleep 3-4 hours before going for the flight.

I just want to mention that it is not normal for crew to do what I did. Usually they just sleep, go buy things and that’s it. Ya kinda boring.

So I just came back from Korea and ever since I’m back I have been OBSESSED with korean make up 😍 one thing definite abt korean make up is AEGYO SAL which means cute eyebags basically

i have been scrolling so many videos on how to draw and every video always make it seem so easy but IT IS ACTUALLY VERY DIFFICULT?! 🥵

have to expand your 下至眼(?), and if your aegyo sal line is too obvious it will look unnatural, so gotta blend it out etc etc THERE’S SO MANY THINGS TO LEARN 😨

i actually bought the colorgram series and THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 😍😍😍 colorgram are known for their glitter series and esp their all in one aegyo sal maker!!!

i also bought the milk bling glitter liner and 😭 so beautifulllll 😭 (LET ME KNOW IF Y’ALL WANNA SEE A SWATCH TEST! 🥰)

I’ve been using this lip glow oil from Dior for as long as I can remember and this particular tube is only 2.5 months old 👶🏻 and suddenly like these tiny chunks of unidentified residue starts showing up???

Possibilities:

1) Dead/dried skin but I always scrub my lips before putting it on and I regularly clean the wand, so I ruled this out.

2) I, for some reason, put this onto a dirty surface?? Also highly unlikely.

3) Manufacturing defect. I always felt little bumps since I bought this individual lip oil but always brushed it off as lip skin peeling off…

I don’t know babes and girls, what is going on and is anyone else facing this with their Dior Lip Oil too?

hi everyone! i’m super excited to share the embroidery counter i discovered at uniqlo’s flagship store at somerset – i decided to get something embroidered for my boyfriend the first time but i went back recently again to get the new corduroy round shoulder bag embroidered too!

🤍 i’ve been meaning to get one of their round shoulder bags but i didn’t like any of the colours they had available, so when i saw that they released this new corduroy one i had to get it! i got mine in cream, but it also comes in brown and black if those are colours that you prefer!

⭐ the embroidery costs $10 per design and you can pick from a wide range of designs! i love cats so i chose an orange and white cat design which i think matches the bag perfectly!

☁️ process:

1. pick the item you would like to embroider from the list – i recommend taking a picture of the list like i did to make sure your item is suitable!

2. bring it back with you to the counter and then select your design(s). the staff will fill out a form for the embroidery which they will attach to the item tag.

3. bring your item with the embroidery form to the cashier to pay – you can only pay at the traditional cashiers so they can add the embroidery to your total!

4. after payment, you can bring the item back to the embroidery counter and they will notify you a time for collection or how long you need to wait.

5. collect your item and you’re good to go!

✨ things to note:

i would recommend sending it for embroidery before eating or shopping around since it can take a while depending on how many orders they have! i waited 1.5 hours the first time and 3 hours the second time.
