The best time of the year is here, and Dior has the best Christmas packaging as they always do. I bought this foundation case for $50 (actually I had a voucher so I decided to swap it for this) cuz I couldn’t resist owning a Dior Christmas item as I’ve never had one before.

I have the advent calendar but I actually bought it second hand on carousell as I couldn’t bear to pay $1k+ for the whole thing. It was so much more cheaper second hand and I bought the year that I really liked. Maybe one day I’ll be able to buy 1 directly from Dior.

Dior has the best Christmas items tbh, and I feel that the packaging always made it extra pretty. This foundation case doesn’t come with foundation hahaha and the old one doesn’t fit. They changed the mechanism/shape of it so you can only buy the new one to use it. Tbh, I don’t think I’ll use it cuz it’s white but i personally feel, as a Dior lover, it’s a good collector’s piece. Kinda wanna buy more from the collection to take pictures. 🥹 We’ll see as their Christmas items usually get snapped up super quickly. Still glad I got this pretty case to keep tho. ✨💛❄️

❤️ they don’t hard-sell packages. you don’t need to commit few thousand dollars just to get a facial

❤️ you get the freedom to choose the treatment you want! if you’re not sure, they will recommend treatments suitable for your skin type

❤️ thorough extraction. my skin felt sooooo clean

however, if there is 1 thing to nitpick about, it is the part when they started selling products 🤐 they were slightly hard-selling the first time i went but didn’t push further after i said no.

when i went again, there wasn’t any hard-selling!

hello 🍋8!!! this is my first post omg and I don’t know where to start… soooo as national exams are going on for me, im exploring places to study at ;-; honestly, I don’t like studying at libraries especially if it’s a subject like chem/geography bc we have to you know process the information???? I prefer doing subjects like math/English in libraries and chem/bio/geog anywhere else not very loud but not too quiet!

$$ price: being a secondary sch student, the price (at least for me) is considered pricey. $7 for a drink???? no thanks :/! But it’s okay to splurge on yourself sometimes if it makes you happy right!!! so that’s what I’ve been doing & my wallet is not happy 🙃

Ambience: I looooove the ambiance! especially when it’s not crowded. The soft music, the cool but not cold air & the comfy chair ☁️☁️ I feel like it’s a conducive environment and I could focus on what I was doing!!

Plus point: friendly staff!!!! the staff there are so friendly & they don’t ever look at you as if you’re being a disturbance. <—- ykwim! sometimes when you stay at a place for too long the staff will start giving you the death stare but thankfully the staff here mind their own business and never made me feel any kind of discomfort 🥹🥹

Crowd: when I went, it wasn’t that crowded so I can’t really speak much about it 🙁 I went in at 3 pm once and 8 pm another day! (Both on weekdays) it wasn’t crowded and there were many seats available!! However, I’m not sure how is it during peak hours & weekends 😣

Ingredients: 💁🏻‍♀️

– Fettuccine pasta

– Scallops

– Oil, salt, and pepper

– 2 tbsp Pesto sauce

– 1/2 cup of heavy cream or regular cream for the pasta

– Parmesan cheese

Instructions: 👩🏻‍🍳

1. Cook the fettuccine pasta. This should take about 10 minutes depending on the brand you use.

2. Heat a pan to cook the scallops (I previously posted some tips on how to grill perfect scallops, check it out here ) After they are cooked, use the same pan for making the sauce.

3. Add pesto sauce to the pan and let it simmer for a bit.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Add some black pepper, but be careful with salt, as store-bought pesto can be quite salty.

5. Finally, mix in Parmesan cheese and combine everything together – fettuccine pasta, scallops, and pesto sauce.

6. Enjoy your meal!

Located in Khao Yai, Midwinter Green, a 2023 Michelin Guide Thailand restaurant is a perfect place for a romantic dinner😍😍

It is designed as a European style Scandinavian castle, serving a variety of International and Thai style dishes.

We chose to sit at the outdoors that day and as it was raining, there wasn’t any outdoor live band (perhaps also that it was a weekday and there were not much patrons). But nonetheless, the vibes was still 💯 with the beauty scenery and I actually liked how the restaurant wasn’t crowded – it felt more cozy and private.

What we’ve ordered:

🌟Prawn Bisque 🦐

220 baht, ~ SGD 8.50

Rich prawn broth, like how you would expect a prawn bisque to taste like….but tbh nothing special, not a must order imo 😬

🌟Smoked Ham Pork Chop

490 baht, ~ SGD 18.80

Highlight of the day!! The pork was smoked using applewood chip for 30 minutes and was super tender with the right amount of fat to meat ratio 🤤 smoked meat + ambience of the restaurant = Christmas vibes 🎄

🌟Spaghetti Black Ink Aglio Seafood

420 baht, ~SGD 16.20

Noodles were al-dente with the fragrant garlic oil and right amount of spice 🤩 I think that this was Thai style as I could taste the strong basil leave flavour too…you might want to skip this if you don’t like basil

🌟Smoked Salmon with Thai Spicy Dressing

290 baht, ~ SGD 11.29

The Thai spicy sauce was super refreshing and topped with the fresh salmon, it’s a great appetiser to have! But the chilli padi tho, I bit into one and almost cried 🥵

Overall, a unique restaurant with great ambience! Pricing is pretty affordable too☺️ Highly recommend you to visit this place when you are in Khao Yai 🤩 Can’t wait to be there again and even better, during Christmas 🥺🥺
