FOUND THIS BUFFET TO BE EXTREMELY WORTH first of all its below $100/pax for A5 waygu beef and there are literally like 10 or more cuts (im not an expert so i just whack all oops) & sashimi & seafood & sides & soups & cooked dishes……. i have NOT tasted a single bad dish except for the sea snail omg pui fr i died eating that.

Here’s what I recommend (with prices)

🤍Tomyum Mama Seafood Claypot Noodles ($15~)

Honestly anything with Mama noodles on their menu cannot go wrong… the noodles are well-cooked, the flavour of the soup is sooo rich and they give a LOT of seafood.

🤍Pineapple Fried Rice with Wagyu Beef ($11~)

They have lots of flavours, but this pineapple fried rice was what made me fall in love with this place. IMO, $11+ for fried rice and wagyu beef is sooo worth. Not to mention they use Japanese rice, so it’s super addictive. This one bowl alone serves up 2 meals for me, I always takeaway half home for dinner bc they give so much.

🤍Fried chicken wings ($7)

The menu says it’s 3 pieces for $7 but it’s actually 6. The friendly uncle (with golden hair and lots of tattoos) will recommend you this when you enter the store. It is really the BEST chicken wings ever. They add some sort of seasoning to give it this extra flavour (basil I think) and it’s always very very crispy. You gotta try it for yourself.

🤍Grilled pork ($7)

Absolutely loved how smoky and aromatic this was, considering I don’t really eat pork but my partner does so we ordered it- and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s sweet yet juicy- as a non-pork person, I have nothing bad to say about this.

🤍Tomyum soup with rice ($8)

My friend ordered this, and he couldn’t stop talking about how AMAZING the flavour was. It’s very rich (and spicy btw, I’d recommend to order the normal spicy level) and the flavour is just….. 👩🏻‍🍳💋 there’s really no way else to describe it. I love this place so much.

To add on, the owner of this place is really very chill. He remembers his customers and always makes time for a chat. You can’t miss him- he has golden hair, wears all black with golden chains, and has a lot of tattoos. Looked intimidating at first but really he’s so nice.

Sooo I don't know if any content creators here have also gone through this, but I've had some colleagues find my tiktok account and most definitely judged me for it😵‍💫

For context: I've been posting on TikTok on and off since 2020, and it's mostly dance content or travel adventures. I have a decent following of 26k followers, so it's not like I didn’t expect people who know me to find my account. I always think twice before posting, especially if it's like a sexier dance or if I'm wearing a cropped top or whatever.

I have always found it difficult to reconcile my dance self and my professional self, almost as if I have to adopt two different personalities. Its like you have to be a serious, one-dimensional professional at work but in reality you're a confident baddie after 6pm.

Some colleagues told me that they found my TikTok before I even joined the company, and told me that they had the impression that I was really 'wild' and 'out there' before they met me. Which is understandable I guess, but it made me feel really self-conscious and think about if it's unprofessional to be a content creator. It made posting content feel more restrictive, knowing that someone was bound to see it and judge me for it.

But honestly, it is my personal life and I should be able to express myself how I want. In fact my job is in social / marketing / content creation, so being a content creator IS literally part of the job.

‼️TLDR some key takeaways/thoughts:

– Stay true to yourself: Don't let the judgement of others deter you from something you love

– Confidence: Your content is your self-expression and creativity. It's okay to have interests outside of work, even if that doesn't fit within the mould of the corporate drone that people may expect you to fit.

– You're not doing anything wrong: If you're not posting confidential company material or talking bad about your company, you're literally not doing anything illegal/wrong.

– Block it out: Being a content creator really helps develop a thicker skin. People are going to judge you regardless of what you do, so you might as well own it. It's your side hustle and your outlet, so you do you girlie.

At the end of the day, your real friends will support you (yes, there are definitely 'friends' who judge you too so forget them) and encourage you to succeed. That's all that matters, just gotta channel that #tubegirl confidence.

I recently celebrated my boyfriend's 23rd birthday, and finding the perfect gift was quite a challenge. 🎁 I wanted something unique that would keep him guessing.

After browsing on XHS, I stumbled upon the idea of a custom blind box! 🎨🎲 It seemed like a creative twist on the blind box trend, so I decided to give it a shot. Here's a concise summary of the process and my experience:

Finding the Right Seller:

It took some time to find a seller for custom blind boxes, but I eventually settled for one with decent reviews.

Price 💰:

NGL, it's a bit on the pricey side.

The pricing varies depending on different factors such as 6/9 boxes option, if you require design, slight edits etc. I chose the 6-box option and it cost aout $50 SGD. 💀

The cost includes design (simple characters), printing, 6 small character cards, and 1 box case.

Communication 📞:

After purchasing on Taobao, the seller invited me to a group with their designers and logistics team. We discussed the design, and I specified a cute and simple style. It took a bit of back-and-forth, but we eventually settled on a design after many drafts. Just wanted to look cute on the front of the boxes which i spent $50 on!! 😭

Shipping 🚚:

Taobao sellers often don't ship directly to Singapore, so I used a third-party shipping provider. However, wont recommend here because they missed an item in my first shipment and made me pay for it again. ❌

Receiving the Item 📦:

When the blind boxes arrived, I noticed that the box case was stained, and it didn't close properly. I had to use tape to keep it shut. I didn't bother asking further because 1. my Chinese isn't fluent, 2. I didn't expect much in terms of a refund or replacement.

Additional Info: What Did I Put in the Boxes:

In each box, I included the small card with info or clues about the present, which I covered with scratchable tape.

This added an element of surprise when my boyfriend scratched the cards, revealing hints about the gift.

Okay so i saw a post once that showed a chart of men & woman and the people they date as they age. 📈📉 If you guessed it the age of men no matter how much older they get they'll still date woman in their late 20s.

So i was like i might as well lived my life as a young woman and live life easy, sprinkle sprinkle ✨Like right now my partner is 8 years older than me 🧘🏽‍♀️💐

Anyways there are some controversy of course if you're dating guys older than you. However, I honestly do not care because dating older guys come with their pros and it helps me avoid problems I would face when dating guys my age 🧘🏽‍♀️

1. They have their career set 💼 — This basically means they'll be able to focus their time on building a relationship with you and giving you attention.

For example, if i was dating a guy fresh out of university, I would understand if he would be busy at work trying to climb the ladder, and build something for himself. However, this means issues like he wouldn't have time for us would arise which is something I rather not argue about since I respect the hustle and a guy with ambition.

However this don't apply to guys in this industry 😳 Read about it in my post here 'These men are not for me'

2. Provider mindset 💅😆 — Not all guys of course, but majority of the guys i've dated who are older than me would always be 100% willing to be the provider in the relationship. They feel like its their thing to do & they're happy to pick up the tab and would never think about going 50/50.

As someone who's in my 20s trying to build my own career while i was still in university. This literally helped me save money & turn my money to paying school bills and investing in my future.

I literally did not have to stress about not having enough to split for our dates or activities. Instead i'll save my money for his birthdays or special occasions 💐🫶🏻 which they are truly grateful for.

3. No drama 💅 — I find that alot of issues that arise when you're dating guys in your age range can be avoided. For example, the whole thing with social media, if your boyfriend is following another girl, liking another girl's photo or girls sliding into their DMs literally wouldn't be an issue when you're dating an older guy since they're either not active on it or they can't be arse having a social media account.

Anyways, that's my take on dating with an age gap as someone in my 20s 🫣 Remember to stay safe when you're out there dating, some guys regardless of age can be a nightmare & that just boils down to them as a person ☝🏻

Getting my hair done was one of my MUST-DOs in Korea, but it turned out to be my worst experience there LOL. I wanted a simple layered cut, but somehow ended up with short curly hair and I hated how it looked on me!!

I was so sad about it, my tears fell uncontrollably as I sat on the bus, and they didn’t stop even when I reached my lunch spot and started eating my Michelin guide seolleongtang 😂

I still don’t know what went wrong, because the end product was so different from the reference pic that I showed her?? Maybe there was some miscomm and she ended up thinking that I wanted super curly hair (because I couldn’t understand Korean and she couldn’t understand English)?

So yeah, to all ppl who are dreaming of getting that hair makeover in Korea: THINK TWICE!!

Not saying that you‘ll definitely suffer the same fate as me, but I think we (or was it just me) tend to underestimate the importance of being able to communicate with the hairstylist. I did start to have doubts midway through the process, but there was no way for me to ask… 🥲
