Oh, Switzerland… in my opinion, Switzerland is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. If you have yet to be in Switzerland, here are 3 fun things to do when you are there:

    1) Race down Swiss mountains on alpine coasters and toboggan runs

    💰 Cost: CHF 6 (~SGD 8.65)

Toboggan is a sled that moves freely on the metal half-pipe and it’s not attached to anything (with no seatbelt), so if that sounds too dangerous for you, I would recommend taking the alpine coaster instead! An alpine coaster is attached to a rail and typically has a backrest and seatbelt. Either way, both options would guarantee you the best view and thrill!

💡Tips: Buy a SwissPass when you are in Switzerland. You get unlimited travel by bus, train and boat. To take the toboggan in Grindelwald, we took a cable car, and for this ride, you can use your SwissPass! We didn’t know until the person in front asked about the SwissPass hahaha 🤣

    2) Kayak to explore the beautiful lakes

    💰 Cost: CHF 105 (~SGD 151.40)

Kayak is one of the best activities if you want to explore the crystal blue lakes and rivers between the majestic mountains in Switzerland. During our kayak trip, we noticed that the houses 🏠 around the area differ from those on land. Each house comes with boat docks and is of a Scandinavian style. I highly recommend this if you don’t mind doing the hard work 🤣

💡 Tips: Kayak at Lake Brienz if you want to check out the iconic piano scene from ‘Crash Landing On You’!! But just FYI, there’s no piano there anymore 😂

    3) Paraglide!!!

💰 Cost: SGD 245.15 (not inclusive of the photos taken)

Soar high above and enjoy the breathtaking view of Switzerland. Have you really been to Switzerland if you didn’t paraglide there?

💡 Tips: Dress appropriately! Bring a windbreaker to protect yourself, especially in the winter. The temperature and wind up there are different from on-ground conditions and IT WILL get colder during winter. Also, don’t forget to wear your most comfortable covered shoes (don’t say I never warned you, but you have to run to take off!)

There are certainly more fun activities apart from the 3 listed above. These are just my personal preference because I’m someone who loves adventure! Feel free to reach out if you want a copy of my itinerary 😊
