🇹🇭 CHIANGMAI
chiangmai is the northern part of thailand! it’s the second largest city after bangkok. the city has night markets and restaurants. we wanted a difference experience so we headed up a nearby mountain.
🏔️ MONCHAM
we rented a driver + car from chiangmai car rental which picked us up from the airport. moncham is about 1 hour’s ride away.

🏨 MONCHAPAPLEARN
i chanced upon their insta account and was instantly drawn to scenery!!! there’s many similar glamping domes / tents in moncham! i think the only difference is the view. we chose monchampaplearn cos it’s one of the higher ones up in the mountain. don’t you think the view is amazing??🥹

👍🏻 what we liked
– very amazing view!!!! literally waking up to the bird’s eye view of terraces 🙌🏻
– good location, at the mountain top~
– nice flower farms / views nearby
– mookata right at the balcony of your room 🥩
– cooling! temperature was around 18 deg at night
👎🏻 what we dislike
– toilet is outside of the room, a little inconvenient
– somehow we didn’t have hot water 😥
– it gets a little noisy when it rains, splattering raindrops on the tent
💯 VISIT
this is definitely the place to visit when you wanna escape the city life! regardless of all the dislikes, the experience + view is a 10/10 for me 🙌🏻
