i loveeee picnics at marina barrage so i was so happy to find out that (TEL) Gardens by the Bay is now open & is located right beside the barrage!! this is such a convenience bc i used to walk 30 mins in from bayfront mrt 😭
heres some places around the area to get nice & yummy picnic food for your picnic
🎂 mbs 🎂
if u wna have pastries or desserts, theres TWG, Bacha coffee, Angelina, R&B tea, Heytea
🎂 suntec city 🎂
DONKI is definitely my go-to picnic food, they hv such a great variety of mains & snacks & desserts!! you can get jap bottled drinks too!
tim ho wan is another great option (just beside donki), the charsiew buns r literally 10/10 but it does get soggy frm the condensation if you dont eat it fast enough
milksha is also just round the corner, but if ure not in a hurry and dont mind hiking across suntec for more bubbletea options, theres hollins, chicha, bawangchaji, Liho, TP Tea, ParTea
🎂 millenia walk 🎂
meidi-ya is a japanese supermarket, i would say its pretty similar to donki but they hv a greater selection of sandwiches
ok i feel like a mall directory now so i’ll stop here for food
some other tips:
🍰 go around 4-7pm
🍰 as the sun sets theres lots of beetles and insects that will ATTACK YOU so maybe dont stay too late
bring your picnic mat, pray for good weather & have fun 🥳
