Sharing me and my bf’s first time experience at AM I ADDICTED pottery studio!
I bought us the standard wheel throwing class which lasted for 2 hours @ $80/pax/session & who knew that both of us will have so much fun despite our clumsiness 🤡 ((kudos to our very patient instructor that helped us throughout the entire session!))
😼HOW IT WENT:
During the session, the instructor taught us simple skills that could help with our wheel-throwing process & it was so much harder than we thought 😮💨 ((we both had to restart our pieces from scratch at least once becos we were both horrendous at moulding the pieces 🤣🤡)) BUT YET we still had fun😆 I guess it was because being able to see our clay change it’s shape slowly while wheel-throwing was quite therapeutic ~~
All of us were given 2 balls of clay ((which means we could make & bring home 2 pieces!)) but since we only had 2 hours, i was quite skeptical at first as i was not sure if i could do 2 pieces in 2 hours 😳 but i guess i was wrong! I realised each piece would take ~1h to complete ((even if you mess up🤡)) & after doing your first piece, the 2nd piece would take a lot faster!
After moulding our pieces, we could choose our color for our pieces 🎨 —> We both added on an extra $5 each per piece for premium colours & it turned out so well! 🥹 ((imperfections are definitely there but this shows that its all hand-made 🫶🏼))
After submitting our done pieces & chosen colours, be prepared to wait for ~1 month for collection ((it could take longer… for us, it took 1.5 months)) & your pieces will be ready for collection ❤️
Overall, i would say this was definitely a great experience!! The instructor were all super patient & you get to bring back 2 pieces! 😀
