we all have bad days, i’ve had my fair share of them recently! so in the next post or two i’ll have more reccs on some things i do during these bad days. today, i’ll be sharing about how i #LoveMyself through giving myself a break on anxious days and just staying in bed to play games!
firstly, the nintendo switch lite (i have the coral one) got me through some tough times. i got it during circuit breaker and played animal crossing till 4-5am everyday. it got me through A levels and all my breakdowns so I’m really thankful for animal crossing 🥺 hence, the honourable mention! i don’t play it much anymore but i still love it loads!
the switch lite retails for about $240 the last time i checked and the switch retails for about $400(?) i rarely use my switch and always use my switch lite because of how cute and portable it is hehe 🫶🏼
here are some game reccs for when you need a cozy and relaxing game to forget about the stresses of the world
1. disney: dreamlight valley
omg i’m obsessed with this game. it’s a task management game and a life sim all in one and it’s so cute because i’m a big disney fan and getting to meet disney characters like remy from ratatouille and moana is like a dream come true! it’s very cute and the little animals you can keep as companions are ❤️❤️ and there’s lots of content and tasks too and you can decorate your valley at the same time! i picked this game up during a very bad week for me and it helped me a lot!!
2. stardew valley
i mean.. do i need to say more? this is a relaxing farming sim where you can just farm, buy things, talk to villagers, fish, get married etc. etc. the list goes on. it’s a really cute and chill pixel game and i play this when i’m just in the mode for sth a bit more mindless. just plant things, mine, etc. it’s really cute and fun!
3. down in bermuda
this is a cute puzzle game! really short and doesn’t require much brain work though you solve puzzles in this! also very relaxing and the art is so cute! the mechanics of the game are really fun too because you get to turn and explore the world and each puzzle is linked!! there’s also a cute little story behind it hehe. so yess if you’re looking for a short yet relaxing game to play, this is it! and it’s going for a really cheap price on the eshop now (which is how i found it)
