I consistently used adapalene gel once a night for a year and here’s my story…

I am almost at my 12th month of using adapalene gel/differin. If you don’t already know what it is, it belongs to the retinoid family derived from vitamin A. Adapalene is commonly used for the treatment of acne vulgaris, a common skin condition that causes pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads. It can help unclog pores, prevent the formation of new acne lesions, and improve the overall texture and appearance of the skin.

In this post, I’ll be addressing some burning questions and sharing my own experience of using it. I would say that my experience was quite a unique one. I purged for months and took me way longer (about 6 months) to see any improvement. Feel free to read more in the slides.

You can easily get adapalene gel over the counter from Guardian/Watsons pharmacy at around $44 – it’s not the most affordable acne topical cream out there but it worked for me. Do note that you will need to present your IC upon purchase for regulation purposes.

Disclaimer: During the process, I did not take any form of oral medication or changed my skincare routine, so as to control the variables to see the most accurate results of using adapalene.

While we’re grinding away and building our own community as a creator, why not get paid for it? 👀

Last month, I decided that I wanted to pursue being a content creator and was finding ways to get paid right from the start. I’ve heard about this platform called Partipost but was initially quite skeptical, until I saw someone post about it on Lemon8 so I thought I’d give it a try!

All you have to do is sign up and register for the campaigns available on the app, which refreshes every few days. I’ve been using the app for the past month and have gotten 2 campaigns so far.

If this is something you’re interested in, here are 3 tips that might be helpful for you 🤍

1. Be patient ⏰⏰⏰

For every campaign, there will be some requirements listed like a minimum follower count etc, and even if you meet the requirements, you might not be chosen for that campaign. It might be discouraging not receiving any campaigns at first, but just be patient!

I applied for about 6-8 campaigns over the course of 1.5 weeks before I got accepted into my first one 😅

2. Check content requirements beforehand ❗️important❗️

Some brands require certain types of content, for eg voiceovers, vlog style, ASMR etc. Do remember to check this before even registering to ensure that it is something you are comfortable with creating and whether you are willing to do it at the amount that the brand is willing to pay! This is very important because certain styles of content take a lot more time to create, and it might not be worth your time 🫣

3. Payouts take 2-3 months 🥹

Yes.. it’s pretty long I’ve yet to get my first payout since I’ve just started last month HAHAHA but he good thing is that there is accountability, and it can be tracked on the app. Brands have to pay you on time, which is very assuring for me!

One downside is that…

You’ll have to pay/buy most of the products first, and after the campaign is over, it will be reimbursed back to you together with the payment for completing the campaign itself. I know what you’re thinking, this does feel a little sketchy at first, but I guess this is a security measure to ensure creators don’t flake last minute, especially since most of us are just starting out 👌🏻

The prices will be stated up front and can cost anything from $5 and above for product purchase with a $70 content payout, so it’s a pretty reasonable cost to reward ratio!

I really love the app and would definitely recommend you to try it. Hopefully, this was helpful for you as a small creator trying to get that bag 🤑

From google: Drop-shipping is when a person, or company, sells goods on their website that they do not keep in stock. When an order is received, they send those orders to another company to ship the goods directly to the buyer. Because they are middlemen, they may charge more money.

🌟How to start?

1. There are multiple platforms that u can list ur products on ! (Refer to slide 2)

2. Find a niche product to sell (or u can list a bunch of stuff, it works too! And from there identify what items are popular and bring in more of those similar items)

– I find that bigger ticket items bring in more revenue and have a bigger range of prices so that u can mark up ur prices higher as well

– I’ve also tried smaller items like : starting my own clothes biz and accessories biz, and it was way too little revenue for a higher amount of effort (taking pictures, packing each item etc etc) so unless u can create a brand for yourself instead of selling generic items, I would give this a pass !! (Unless it’s ur hobby as well then it’s fine HAHA)

3. Find your target audience

– decide if u want to target eg the younger crowd, middle aged group, older people etc and source ur niche items according to what they may like!

– would be great if u managed to identify a specific group of target audience that has not been targeted by the general online shopping platforms, and from there u can bring the items to their attention. They will be more likely to buy!

4. Can start first with preorder, but most prefer instock items

– for me personally, all my items were preorder for the bigger ticket items as I was still a student then and did not have any capital to get stocks! So preorder is really good for those who are just starting out!

– if you have abit more capital, definitely consider bringing stock in because 1. Increases credibility 2. Get the items faster. Some people might choose the more expensive option (your item) just because it is already instock

– do note that if u bring in stocks, there’s also a higher risk that u will need to take up. Such as a whole bunch of stock left in your house / warehouse that nobody is buying

5. To get more competitive rates, liaise with ur suppliers to get a better rate. Some suppliers give a lower rate when they sell in bulk. And if you have been buying from them for a long time, you can also ask them for discounts I’m sure they would be willing to give them to u since you’re bringing a lot of business in for them as well!

6. Marketing strategies

– consider the different marketing strategies that u can use to gain more traffic to ur listings!

– some of the typical examples are: Instagram ads, boosting on Carousell, holding giveaways, sponsoring influencers etc

🌟All in all, I was super glad that I had decided to try out dropshipping while I was 19-20! I didn’t even get a part time job during the long break before uni because I was already earning $1k/mth on average (around the same as what I would earn from part time jobs that are definitely way more tiring). I could literally just be sitting at home and earning money! 🤑 Honestly quite sad that i stopped my biz completely after uni got more tiring or else it could have been developed into something bigger !! I was stupid n lazy 😭😭😭 But ya legit anyone can do dropshipping legit one of the best and easiest side hustles ever ✅✅✅

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚This exotic animal cafe is really convinent from the hotel i stayed. 390 Baht 💰for 1 drink (tea/coffee/milk/cocoa), souvenir and socks. Kids under 150cm will be for 290 Baht 💰 for the same package.

❗️Please book a time slot in advance as they are always fully booked. I actually went for walk in in early afternoon and was told it was full house. I only could get a slot that day if someone cancel their appointment which will be a waste of time waiting. So i decided to book a slot on spot for another day.

❗️Please also dont be late for your time slot. They are really strict on the time slot and no extra time will be given.I was late due to traffic that day, so I only get to spend 30 minutes with the little ones(Dogs : mimi and patchy).

❗️One slot will be for 1 hour.

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚Firstly, you arrive and take off your shoe, change into the new socks that they provide. (you can choose any design, all of the choices was really cute)

Then you order your drink at the counter and proceed in for the session. (you will have to was your hands and sanitise)

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ It was like a paradise >< All of them was so cute and friendly. I even queued to see and play with the Racoon (omg it was so heavy.. must be all the snacks he is getting everytime the staff wants his attention..) but it was really cute.. Bucket list checked!

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚There is cats and corgis and chihuahuas everywhere. The meerkats was in a room and if you request to see them, the staff will carry them out and let you hold them OMG it was really cute. I know i'm using alot of “CUTE” but no words can describe it. The fox was also in a seperate room and to be request. The fox was light and gentle that the feeling is so fragile..

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ I ended off the play date with playing with the chihuahua as it reminded me of my little ones back home ><

📌At the end fo the session, everyone will take off the socks wore and throw it at the bin provided. Then proceed to the counter to collect the drinks. The drinks is prepared at the last 15minutes before the session end so everyone can just collect instead of waiting. (they will label with your name)

📌They will also ask you to take of one the soft toy (from the basket beside the counter) as the souvenir. I've picked a cow and buffalo from TY!! really very cute for mimi and patchy.

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ Overall experience, you should at least go one time if you are in Bangkok as your go to place!
