Hello! as someone who LOVES sushi, i rmb the days i would go to sushi express for their $1.50 sushis🤤🤤 the good old days when everything was $1.50. after increasing the price, is sushi express still worth it? it was my first time trying as i was SUPER HUNGRY and rly craving sushi and sushi express was nearby (so me being lazy…i js went in😂)
here's my verdict:
not sure if its just me but it seems like there were much less options with 2 sushis? like it was mainly 1 sushi for the $2++ options & most of those with 2 slices didnt have rice (just 2 slices of fish) 🍚 + most of the fish (salmon, tuna) were super super super thin … and idk why the $1.50++ sushis looked SO SMALL🥲 it was smaller than my thumb and it was the basic options (and they also didnt taste fresh haha) anyways i also tried the salmon sashimi, it was SO THIN. okay fine cant expect too much right. it rly wasnt fresh at all. okay sure. BUT IT TASTED SO SLIMEY AND WET?😭😭 LIKE it almost tasted spoilt. i almost couldnt swallow it bc it was SO🥴🥴 and the $3++ options…these were the most disappointing. didnt take pics of them but it didnt look nor taste fresh at all. lowkey tasted sour?? (but not as bad as the salmon sashimi) idk man….
me and my friend ate quit a fait bit, more than $30 worth of sushis but it still didnt fill us enough. idk but i was kinda expecting at least more 2 sushi w/ rice options cos at least itll get me full but there wasnt alot of those. and honestly, i dont rly know why they had service charge…the staff rly didnt do anyt except sit us down and shout and they didnt even have to serve us
my final verdict is okay…maybe if im in a rush and im on my own, maybe ill come here…but id rly rather go kopitiam hahaha. SUSHIRO>>>>. GO TO SUSHIRO PLS. $2++ for sushi that is a more reasonable portion and fresher. SUSHIRO FOR LIFE! hahahaha okay sushi express 2/10 👍 if the price was still $1.50 for all i wouldnt be complaining…but now some of your sushis $3++ at least must have some standard mah😔 okay lmk if my standards for sushi is just too atas but sushi express is rly not it anym (or is it just the outlet i went to? lmk!) probably wont be back anytime soon 🙁
