I’ve recently visited Armoury at Orchard Central and here are some reasons why I most definitely would not be going back.
💰 Price: $20-$35 per pax
🍽️ Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 2 ⭐️
Overall, really small portion served for the mains at such a high price. This was really a disappointment especially since I heard many good reviews about the South Beach outlet. My take would be to visit the OG South-beach outlet instead of here especially since the vibes are supposedly better as well.
🥩 My friends and I ordered the Sirloin and Ribeye steak and for a place that is suppose to specialise in grilling steak they were all overdone! We ordered a rare and medium rare done-ness but they arrived medium well to well done. Needless to say it was super dry that there was no saving even with the sauce. The chimichurri sauce which required a top up of $2 was also lacking in flavour and not enough to coat the steak. The sides were the only saving grace.
🍝 The vongole clam spaghetti was also a disappointment with the dry and tasteless noodle. The clams had absolutely no flavour.
🍸They had a cocktail promotion before 7pm where cocktails were 2 for $26 and just like the food, the Gummy bear martini were not up to par.
Service Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 1 ⭐️
We visited at a time when it was not crowded but the service was extremely slow. They should really explore hiring more people. From what I saw, there was only 2 person taking orders and serving. Not sure if this explains why the food took really long to arrive. Before we ordered, we saw a lady walking up to complain about how it took 30mins for her side of fries to arrive and we honestly should have left the moment we saw that.
I honestly try not to give a bad rating as it’s all up to an individual’s palate, but this is really tough to save.
