i’ve been working at concerts for about 4 years now and i thought i’d share my experience working at/for shows and what i usually do 🤩
the first show i worked at was sam smith back in 2018 and since then i think i’ve been working almost a total of 20 shows (by the end of feb 2023 LOL) 😋
⤷ my job scope
my main job scope is working at the merch booth, ~ occasionally ~ i get to PA for artists but i also do recruitment + scheduling ! being a PA can be fun and a bit intimidating but once i got the hang of it, it was pretty easy !
⤷ “do you get to watch free shows ?”
nopee ! i like to keep my work and leisure separate so if i am interested in watching a certain artist perform, i’ll just get tickets 😌 i know working at concerts seem like an easy way of scoring free concert tickets but honestly, theres a lot more to it than that and if you’re only interested in watching concerts for free then i don’t think this is the job for you 🫣
