    BLACKPINK IN MY AREA🖤💗🔥

I’ve been a proud Blink since 2016 when I first saw Jennie on her motorbike saying the iconic “Blackpink in your aREA!” in their first MV, BOOMBAYAH! and I KNEW I had to get their Born Pink – Singapore tickets no matter the price.

💰In order to secure my ticket, I paid $30 for the Live Nation Presale and bought Cat 6 (Seats) ticket which was about $282 inclusive booking fee, so in total I paid $312 for their Day 1 concert 💸

Here’s how it went for me:

👚MY OUTFIT✨: a black tube dress with pink ribbon and pink lace + pink hair clip and a half ponytail, complete with face gems🖤

🥵 THE QUEUE✨: As I bought a seated ticket, I didn’t have to start queueing as early as those in the standing pen (my friend had to join the queue 6h in advance!). I came around 6pm, but it was already jam packed with people. Crowd control could have been better – everyone was coming from all directions but the gate didn’t seem to be opened til 7pm (or at least that’s when we all finally started moving) and so we were just standing there rubbing shoulders with sweaty people. It was very hot and the mobile data connection was very poor. But the security check was really fast – we got through within 5 minutes so good job to the security team 👍

👀MY VIEW🪑✨: I was seated at section 410, row B seat 42. I felt that it was a very comfortable view for me – I had a very good view of the screen and the audience, and could also see all the action onstage (albeit couldn’t make out who’s who) although I was quite a distance away from the stage🫶🏻 As a petite, I didn’t want to choose Standing Pen tickets cuz I knew I would be blocked and I couldn’t imagine standing for hours and squeezing with other people so I’m actually really satisfied with my seated ticket which was elevated and spacious! and also very cooling~

🖤💗THE CONCERT✨: It only started at 8pm instead of 730pm (which was expected) and it was 1.5h straight with no intermission (unless you count the gorgeous montages and additional dance performances by the background dancers, that is) – I don’t know how Blackpink did it🫣 So do fill up your bottles with the water cooler right outside beforehand and get some snacks if you need. The concert was every bit perfect as I imagined it to be – I personally thought their live was really good <3 And the effects and everything were captivating. They performed most of the songs, and there were all their solos including Jennie’s unreleased You and Me!! And their accents when they spoke English omgosh so so cute❤️

⚠️PLS READ THIS: STAY TIL THE END. IF THE LIGHTS IN THE STADIUM HAVENT COME UP YET IT MEANS THERES STILL MORE. ALSO SHOUT “ENCORE”. So after they said “Thank you Singapore” they vanished for like a good 15 min or so but the lights in the stadium didn’t come up and we were all just sitting there in silence confused and waiting, and it was only after a while that people shouted ENCORE and they came out a while later. Quite a number of Standing Pen people just left which was honestly such a WASTE because THEY PERFORMED THEIR ICONIC SONGS AT THE END😩❤️ and they were just having a lot of fun together onstage instead of intense dancing and it was so, so nice <3

    💭 🤔OVERALL THOUGHTS💭

💸Was it worth $300?✨DEFINITELY.✨Even my sis who accompanied me and who wasn’t a Blink enjoyed it so much because it was so hype and just UNREAL to see these goddesses irl. Plus we really liked the view from our seats and how comfortable we felt throughout. Tbvh if your height is on the shorter side, like us (and also hate standing or squeezing with people) I would really recommend getting seated tickets as I did hear from some of my friends that they didn’t enjoy the concert because of what they experienced in the standing pen + they were very tired from queueing the whole afternoon.

TO THOSE IN SINGAPORE WATCHING DAY 2 TONIGHT, HOPE YOU’LL HAVE A BLAST🖤💗 The Born Pink concert was truly the best night I’ve had in a while and I’m so so thankful for this extremely rare opportunity🥰
