During my summer exchange in Korea, I’ve no doubt splurged and experimented with different beauty products and here are some of my top picks from OliveYoung – most of them were actually recommended by OliveYoung employees!
FYI: I have combination skin but I have certain areas (eg. around my nose and corners of my mouth) that get dry really easily.
1️⃣ Dr.G Dermamoisture Barrier.D Daily Lotion
🌟 3-in-1 lotion: Barrier protection, Moisturiser, Anti-aging
✅ Absorbs into the dry skin PERFECTLY. A must-have if you have dry skin or when you’re travelling in winter. Korea gets especially humid in the summer so this worked SO WELL for me during my exchange there.
❎ Gets slightly oily when I use it in SG (probably due to my own wonky skin) but it works great for the dry areas of my face so I just avoid using it on the rest of my face.
2️⃣ Angel Aqua Moisture Sun Cream
🌟 Vegan formula
✅ Leaves little to no white cast on my skin. Absorbs really well. Light and cool cream texture.
❎ Has fragrance but I personally don’t mind it because it smells nice. 🙂
3️⃣ Dr.G Green Mild Up SUN+
🌟 Viral skincare product in Korea
✅ Absorbs into my skin super well. Feels light and not cakey. No fragrance.
❎ Leaves a tiny bit of white cast but it blends into your skin really nicely when you rub it in more – perfect for those who want to have glass skin.
4️⃣ Avène Gentle Toning Lotion
🌟 Very popular amongst Koreans (according to an OliveYoung employee)
✅ Super gentle on my skin. Tighten my pores without making it hard to move my facial muscles. An essential for those who want Korean glass skin. Also I personally love the packaging hehe.
❎ Slightly on the expensive side but WORTH IT.
