Why is the Dyson Airwrap #NotForMe

don't hate me but i honestly think the Dyson AirWrap is super overrated and totally not-for-value for money although most girls highly raved and sung high praises it. don't get me wrong, it is great in certain aspects and do have it perks but i guess it's just not for everyone?

i own the dyson airwrap for 2-3 years before i gave it away to a friend of mine because i only used it at most THRICE throughout the years. mainly because, i got it during the covid19 period where outdoor activities is pretty restricted and also cause the dyson air-wrap is a wet-to-dry styling product.

haha so this could be a bias viewpoint but let me explain in details more why it is not worth it!

as it is a wet-to-dry styling product, it meant that in order for you to style your hair, your hair must have some kind of dampness or moisture to it for the curls/styling to stay (as you'll need the hot & cold function) to lock it in.

if you're a 9 to 5 corp gurlie like me, and 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 in the morning, you'll definitely not or won't be styling your hair on most days cox u simply do not have the time do so.. 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘶𝘱 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘢

    ② 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫

i'm someone who does not have a thick luscious hair so curls is not a good look on me! and honestly, the barrels attachment provided is sorta for like smaller-curls which to me, looks damn auntie-ish?! even if u brush it out for a looser look, is not nice at all and look even worse if you don't have a mass volume lion-head hair.

BUT, i'd say the volumizing round brush, smoothing brush is great if you have stubborn & stiff shoulder length hair that always curl outwards like powerpuff girl’s buttercup! hahah cos the tools can help to smoothen it & can do a nice c-curl for u.

anyway, whether it is time-saving compared to traditional tongs… i guess it depends from hair to hair? altho the AirWrap supposedly help catches your hair to curl it BUT, you still have to section your hair a little here and there for it to work… so its still somehow still time-consuming esp if you got lion-head hair.

not only that, it might not be able to catch as much hair as u think it might… so?? still waste time fr…. as a result my friend also ended up using it less than ideal times aft i gift it to her .

so i'd say is pointless to buy it cos you'll just use the pre-styling dryer most of time and might as just get the supersonic hair dryer and buy a taobao dupe-attachment or traditional curling tongs for nicer curls. the saving grace is that its damn chio and seems like u getting so many stuff …. BUT ASK YOURSELF! think about it! how often you gonna use ALL THAT ATTACHMENT HUH?!!!!? 😂
