i’m a combi & acne-prone skin girlie. i was due for a facial and came across this facial place on lemon8. i had bad experiences with other facials such as scarring, skin became sensitive, extreme pain during extraction, hard selling, etc, so i contemplated on whether i should even go for it. after days of consideration, i decided to just give it a shot.
i opt-ed for the ultra calm therapy (trial price $68, U.P $148) under the recommendation of the beautician based on my skin condition.
💆🏻♀️ the process of the facial:
1. cleansing
2. scrub
3. steam
4. extraction
5. high frequency (antiseptic)
6. essence with cold compress machine
7. neck and shoulder massage
8. purifying mask
9. toner & sunblock
throughout the entire process, my beautician was super gentle and shared with me each step that she was doing. during the extraction, the pain was very minimal, i’d say 1/10, and i almost fell asleep numerous time. there were a couple of times the pain peaked to 6 bc the blackheads were rly stubborn, but still manageable.
my favourite part of the facial is the cold compress and shoulder massage! 🤭 after the facial was done, i got dressed, drank a cup of tea, paid and left. there were no hard selling of facial packages or products AT ALL. i did ask abt their facial packages before i left though, bc i was pretty happy with the overall service!
