Amelinda @amelinda7 months ago The perfect 90s blowout hair with minimal effort Girlies…. It feels almost emotional to say it but I love my haircut so much. I’m just so impressed that @Picasso Hair nails my desired hairstyle every. single. time. 👏🏼 I have been doing my hair with Picasso for the past 9 years now. I’ve tried other salons in between along the way but still always come back to them because they 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 get the brief right and I 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 walk out satisfied. For context, I have natural frizzy hair so will need straitening treatments to maintain my mane. But what I love about Picasso is their volume rebonding treatment – it basically straightens the hair but also adds volume and bounce to your flat locks. I just grew my hair out from a short sleek bob so my hair has been straight and flat. The brief was a 90s blowout hairstyle, layered hair cut with layered fringe. I wanted big bouncy curls so I can look chic and not aunty and they freaking nailed it…. I love it so so much! I love it even more when it’s tied up. The layers were cut so perfectly, and I absolutely love my fringe especially when it’s tied up!!! It just frames my face perfectly and I’ve never had a hairstyle like this as I always avoided having layers. I did my hair with Jeremy and I’m always so thankful that he pays attention to the little details I share with him to design my desired hairstyle for me. He’s super patient and even makes suggestions to make sure I get the best cut and style at the end of every visit. And this hairstyle… is probably my favourite one yet. Layers make a world of difference and I don’t think I’m ever going back to non layered hair 😂 The service at Picasso is also top notch, they serve really great snacks and drinks at the salon and they never ever fail to check in on my hair after every visit since I visited them 9 years ago (efforts may be more consistent than some boyfriends out there lol). If you’ve been thinking of taming your manes or getting a fresh hairstyle do check out Picasso, you will not regret it! 0 16

Amelinda @amelinda9 months ago These are heels that won’t kill your feet 👠 Product: Viana Sandals from PrettyFIT 💰 Price: $69.90 As a petite girlie, I’m always out on a hunt for shoes that add height but won’t kill my feet🥲 (Beauty should NOT be painful). I usually end up sticking with loafers or sneakers because HEELS ALWAYS HURT. I’m so glad I found this pair of comfy heels 👏🏼 When I tried on this pair of Viana Sandals at PrettyFIT WISMA, I was shocked by how comfy it was?! The insole is soft and thick making it feel like you’re walking with cushions on. What really helps is that the heel is broader at the bottom so the weight is well distributed. Because of how minimal the design is, they can go with formal, work, or even casual outfits. I’m usually in denim jeans or skirts so I know this pair of shoes will be used very frequently. When I first tried it, I wore a dress and it matched well too. While I was shopping, my mom also bought another pair of ballet flats and they were also so comfy because they had an additional padding for the back of the ankle area to prevent blisters!? How thoughtful!!!💕 Highly recommend PrettyFIT if you’re looking for some comfortable yet pretty shoes! Thank god for better product design and that BEAUTY NO LONGER NEEDS TO BE PAINFUL!!! Amelinda @amelinda10 months ago WHAT I BOUGHT IN THE SEPHORA BEAUTY PASS SALE Ya girl is back with more beauty recs 👀🫶🏼 The Sephora beauty pass sale is BACK and here's everything I carted this round!!! A lot of them are refills/ repeat buys, but I've allowed myself some little impulse buys and products I've been meaning to test out. SALE DETAILS: GOLD member: from 10pm 29 Aug, 20% off no minimum spend BLACK member: from 10pm 30 Aug, 15% off no minimum spend, 20% off $150 spend WHITE member: 15% off no minimum spend ENDS 3 SEP WHAT I BOUGHT: ✨ Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair The best night serum out of everything I've tried so far. My foundation lays down smoother, my skin heals faster and looks more radiant, and I wake up with softer/ smoother skin! ✨ Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop This foundation is like a BB cream texture almost, super lightweight but very buildable. Great coverage, doesn't really slide around skin, and works great on top of sunscreen with no smudging. Great for oily/ acne-prone skin. ✨ First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream My holy grail moisturiser for when my skin is flaring up and being super sensitive/ sensitised. This cream is very soothing, feels light on the face, and is dermatologist tested 👍🏼 great for sensitive skin! ✨ Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder This kept my skin looking absolutely flawless and matte even when I was sweating outdoors in the humidity. I've recommended it to so many of my friends already! ✨ Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa Hair and Body fragrance mist This was a blind buy, but after looking at the base and top notes it sounds like something right up my alley! I've heard so much about this brand on Instagram and the bottle looks so aesthetic 😍 ✨ Stila glitter & glow liquid eyeshadow This was recommended to me by a colleague and it's the only glitter eyeshadow that doesn't burn or irritate my eyes. I already own the shade kitten kaleidoscope and I wanted to try this shade for the “douyin” makeup look! ✨ Anastasia Beverly Hills Nouveau Eyeshadow palette I adore the colour story of this palette and the glitters were absolutely calling to me! ABH formulation is always really solid and I own the Modern Renaissance, Soft Glam, and Glam to Go palettes. ✨ Rare Beauty Weightless eyeshadow stick in Wellbeing This looks so beautiful and perfect for aegyo sal! I've been trying to achieve the douyin makeup look recently, and have been experimenting with various glitters and shimmers! Really can't wait to try this formula! ✨ Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray Absolutely BUDGE PROOF. Holds up in Singapore's humidity perfectly, spray is so fine, and doesn't smell bad compared to Urban Decay's setting spray! 10/10. ✨ Farmacy Green Clean cleansing balm I've tried a few cleansing balms eg Banila Co, Heimish etc but this one has the lightest & most effective consistency for me. It's extremely pricey imo and I will only buy it when it's on sale! What are you eyeing in the sale? Amelinda @amelindaone year ago [VIDEO] I’ve saved so much money with this makeup hack! THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY MAKEUP HACK I’VE PICKED UP OVER THE YEARS…. Is how to prolong the life & utility of my makeup cushions!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 We know that base makeup can be quite expensive sometimes, and some of us just don’t like to buy too many base makeup products until we really FINISH using our current ones up. This hack has really saved me from buying more refills/new cushions than I really need 😏 BASICALLY, because of gravity, you can imagine how much liquid base makeup is flowing to the base of the compartment where the cushion is held (and “soaked” with makeup product). So just when you think it’s out of juice, grab a pair of tweezers and flip that cushion over to reveal a treasure trove of base makeup and give your cushion a new life!! It’ll last you another good amount of time before you can flip it again (and potentially AGAIN)💡🙆🏻♀️😱 THINK OF HOW MUCH MONEY MAKEUP MINIMALISTS CAN SAVE!!! ✨🤪 0 28
Amelinda @amelindaone year ago ORMUSEA: grunge/acubi fashion this is one of my favourite stores that i keep coming back to on hongdae shopping street — ORMUSEA! from the outside, the colour coded racks of clothes will attract you, along with the two main styles, grunge and acubi. there were quite a few unique pieces that i tried on but i bought one in particular, this wool top — it was backless with a cape feature and I LOVED IT. lately, i’ve been looking for more unique or elevated everyday pieces, and styles that i can layer to improve my style, and ORMUSEA has many of such pieces that would make a statement in your closet too! overall, the clothes available are very versatile but do note that it is based on free sizing, so it might not fit you well enough. the store also has a basement with more racks of clothes, and they do have a fitting room for you to try but it is also limited so you might have to wait to try on your clothes. the price range is about $30+ and onwards, so honestly it’s quite affordable for the area itself! don’t miss it if you’re here!! 0 46
Amelinda @amelindaone year ago TIPS FOR LAVO TO SAVE $$ Calling all my fellow broke pals or in general money savers!! This is the best way to make the most out of your money when you’re at LAVO so listen up 😗 📍LAVO 10 Bayfront Ave, Tower 1, Level 57, Singapore 018956 Tips for the best experience 📝: 1. Always request to sit outside!! Come on, just look at that view. It’s the best seat in the house for sure so definitely request an outdoor table for stunning views. Best place to catch the sunset, take that killer Instagram photo and overall best vibes. 2. Watch out for the portions 🫣 I wish someone told me this earlier because the portions are HUGE. And that’s probably why all their dishes are so expensive. You’re paying for a lottttt. We ordered truffle fries and that bowl was overflowing. We should’ve known that everything was meant to be sharing portions 🥲 3. Make the most out of the menu Decide with whoever you’re dining with on what you’re getting, this is so important. Even if you’re not planning to share dishes, I deffo wish I knew this one earlier. The appetisers are pretty filling so by the time our mains came, we had absolutely no space for dessert 😭 4. Go on ladies night 🥂 THEY HAVE FREE-FLOW PROSECCO!!!! Ladies: $38 Men: $50 I had no idea this was a thing but if you love Prosecco like me, it was super worth it. 5. Don’t forget about the complimentary bread 🥖 We totally regretted ordering the fries because we had wayyyyy too much carbs and were getting full very quickly. They do give you slices of bread (on the house!) so I would’ve been a lil smarter about this. 6. Tell them you’re celebrating a birthday/anniversary 🎂 This one is truly on how shameless you wanna be HAHA but yes, you’ll get free cake. But in all realness, we actually were celebrating Valentine’s and our 1.5 year mark so it wasn’t a total lie 🤪 This cake was delicioussss. However, I wish we weren’t so full to try their chocolate layered cake (looked so yummy). 0 42
