Gift set season is upon us with the holidays coming up. Today, I am reviewing the Rare Beauty 4 Piece Mini Set that includes two blushes and two highlighters and will let you know if it is worth your money! Sometimes the formulas of the sets aren’t as good as the original, so I am here to tell you how it compares.

Rare Beauty Mini Blush & Glow 4-Piece Set ($34, valued at $54)

● Mini Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes: Wisdom (mauve plum), Virtue (beige peach)

● Mini Positive Light Liquid Luminizers: Magnetize (light gold), Transcend (rose gold)

These are pretty small at 0.11 oz/3.2 mL each, so they are perfect for travel. The packaging does resemble the full size with the same lids so easy to open. Rare Beauty blushes are SO pigmented, but easy to blend. The highlighters are blinding and give you a beautiful glow on the cheeks. Since they are so pigmented, these will last you a long time. To me, this set is worth the money!

I’ve been seeing TIPO coming up often on lemon8 recommends so decided to try it out! TIPO is known for their freshly made and artisanal pasta, pizza and gnocchi dishes. I visited the Tipo Strada located at Novena, with the specialty being lots of uniquely-shaped, colorful pasta options to choose from! It’s a smaller outlet with indoor and outdoor (sheltered) seats.

They have the following dining concepts:

– TIPO Pasta Bar (DIY pasta)

– TIPO Strada (artisanal pasta)

– TIPO Pizzeria (DIY pizza)

– TIPO Osteria (special menu)

– TIPO Gnocchi (specialising in gnocchi)

What we tried:

🍝 Prawn Aglio ($17.50) – picked the linguine option for this dish! Came with 3 prawns and topped with mozerella grated cheese, was a normal dish with the pasta being a tad bit to the harder side. Do note that it’s not the normal olive oiled aglio olio if you’re expecting that (or maybe it was but didn’t taste like there was any olive oil with garlic bits) 😥 I also thought it’d be good if the prawns were juicier and flavourful.

🍝 Duck Carbonara ($17.90) – paired it with the radiatori pasta option, which is similar to fusilli, better suited for dishes with thick sauces such as carbonara to absorb the flavours. The sous vide egg was runny, was a flavourful carbonara, duck meat was tender and well-seasoned!

🍹Cold Brew Tea ($7) – refreshing cooler beverage! however, I personally don’t think there’s anything specially memorable about the taste for it to be at that price point 🤣

I included the menu if you’re keen to check em’ out. I feel that it’s worth to try it once for yourself just for the novelty and decide if it fits your palette for a second visit! Share with me your experience if you’ve also tried TIPO strada 🤪

i happen to come across this salon on my instagram page and decided to give it a go! ( risky choice ik 😭 but i checked their google review and it was all very positive 😌) they are currently have a promotion for balayage that is $88 net without base colour which is what i choose to do.

when i first entered they sat me down and discuss with me what i would like to do etc.

they also gave me advice on what would work best for my hair because i previously dyed my hair red which is hard to get rid 😬

the whole process took me about 7hrs including 2 rounds of bleach, haircut, treatment and styling 😵‍💫 but i would definitely say it was worth the hours because i really love how my hair turned out 🥰

they do not hard sell any products to you and are very genuine in what they do which i appreciate a lot 🥹 their shop is also easy to locate and overall my experience is a 10/10 and would definitely be back!

1. Tránh nước

Sau khi wax da sẽ khá nhạy cảm nên tránh đi bơi hoặc tắm biển trong 3 ngày đầu để tránh tiếp xúc với hóa chất độc hại. Ngoài ra, cũng nên tránh tắm nước nóng vì hơi nước nóng tiếp xúc trực tiếp với da sẽ làm lỗ chân lông giãn nở khiến cho vi khuẩn dễ dàng xâm nhập

2. Thoa mỡ trăn

Sau khi wax nên thoa mỡ trăn 30 phút để làm dịu da rồi rửa lại với nước lạnh. Nên bôi mỡ trăn mỗi ngày để giúp lông mọc thưa và chậm hơn

3. Tránh tiếp xúc trực tiếp với ánh nắng

Vùng da sau khi wax rất nhạy cảm và mỏng hơn nên cần tráng mặc áo hở lộ vùng da mới waxing và đừng quên thoa kem chống nắng đầy đủ nha

4. Tẩy tế bào chết

Duy trì tẩy tế bào chết để hạn chế tình trạng lông mọc ngược. Nên ưu tiên những sản phẩm dịu nhẹ và massage nhẹ nhàng vì vùng da sau khi waxing cực kì nhạy cảm
